I'd do the 15,000km mcoupe . A lot of car and not many km's for the price
-
Thought about both before settling on m3 for two main reasons. First was rear seats and the second was having a contained boot for adding heavy stereo gear. However ,Rear seat wise I've used it twice in two years other than for joy rides for family and friends. If four doors are required the wife's car is used. ( we have a 5 month old and the m3 doesn't really work for her yet ) The stereo gear comment is more about running a sub and the boot protection offered should the car roll. Don't want to be taken out by 30 kilos of sub box. Performance wise it comes down to the person behind the wheel as I don't remember having problem staying with one of a track day. Conversely neither car seemed any better or worse corner , acceptation or braking. There isn't much difference from what I could tell Styling wise , mcoupe is better in my opinion , the s54 used incorporates all of the lesions learnt from the earlier versions and uses later electronics. There aren't many mcoupes so they area bit more excusive. Also a newer model of car. I don't believe they have the hair dresser look of the z3 convertable

Agree with bandit , we all have our interest areas and MD13's posts are TM BM machines that I wouldn't seek out but often have got great entertainment value or are different from the factory norm. In the case of this e30 , someone has spent a lot of time and money creating a B6 3.5 / e30 M3 and 745i in the one shell. alpina , maybe not , but certainly in spirit

E46 does work off rotation rather than sensors. Reset the values by holding down tps botton down for 10 seconds and see if you have the issue after. System works well. Had a slow leak which the system picked up when the tyre had dropped to roughly 20 psi.

Doesn't the TV tuner have a spare Aux video input already ? If you do you'd be able to connect a games console via that input.

Sh@theads . There's some filth in this country

Was going to say check the other wires while your at it. Did the wife's one a couple of months back and need to do the same again

Another for cleaning and conditoning leather is shaving foam that contains lanolin. Work a treat on motorcycle leathers that were subjected to 9000 km of adventure riding in South America. Lady that made motorcycle leathers put me on to it.

How about these un-obtainiuns

If the young guy is Chris then he probably wholesales more secondhand M3s and evo's than the rest of the Auckland market. The good ones he will keep for a while and then move on. Let me know if you want his details. Try a number of M3 s regardless of KMs first. I found they varied quite a bit in terms of tightness There are also a few low km ones around still. I waited about 6 months for the right one with lowish KMs (47 km) which felt tight. Needed a couple of scratches and curbing dealt to. But nothing major.

Xtra's packaging of mcafee

Mate had one of those those problematic e38 740i which was nick named the lemon (brought it new) After two years of break downs and electrical issues it he had enough and replaced the companies other bimmers with falcon turbos and never looked back. Mate with the 300c has owned for 6 years and is yet to have an issue.

Caution with this. Their last packaging was crap and caused system crashes and was recalled. It got repackaged but I still get system crashes on a hi end pc that never had issues before installing their antivirus. Need to also do something about a replacement.

E39 Stereo adapter and surround spacer/filler

Dsp was an option so your car may not have it. If your going to repower front or rear speakers then I recommend you replace them. The have power handling that has been matched to the factory amp so repowering is more than likely going to destroy them. The bmw system runs active on each speaker which means it has an amp for each speaker. I'd either just run a sub via taps into the front woofer outputs or gothe hole hog, with a 5 channel amp or a 4 channel plus sub amp and replace all the speakers. The tuner which acts as a mixer also has balanced audio outputs. Best to get a amp that can take balanced preamp inputs. Otherwise you'll either need to get balanced to unbalanced converters or mod the tuner circuit board to add RCA outputs. Cabling wise it's easier to use the midbass wiring for replacement speakers as its not too bad for wiring gauge. Otherwise you'll also need to get heavier gauge cable through the door connectors which is possible but makes it harder to return the car to standard when you sell it. -
Had a couple of RR for wedding cars. The last of the hand built jobs before BMW brought the badge. The RR and 7 series are very nice cars but the 300c is a lot of car for the $$$.

Will done guys. Done more than my share of all nighters and data centre recoveries. Thought about running on VMware in the Clould ? Can make it easy to turn up performance when needed and scale back when demand is low. Providers like rackspace.com can be quite cost effective.

Mate has one. Seriously think we should have one to replace the wife's 328. Has tonnes of room. The SRT version will stay with a 760. The Boston Acoutics sound system will put any Hk assisted Bmw sound system to shame. The engine drops to a 4 Cly on the long trips giving 6 cylinder type fuel enonomy. Has a tonne of room. RR no way, but contender for comfy euro replacement. I think so.

Same bones as many m3 scaring TVR v8's. Plenty of potential for good hp.

Advice Needed to Upgrade the Exhaust on my 2003 745iL

Borla or supersprint are a couple of bolt up options -
Progress has been slow, it's amazing how much short the days seem since my daughter was born late last year. Update Tidied up none factory Nav loom and TV tuner loom. Brought a TV tuner retro wiring loom and removed old Jap Nav loom extras. The CD stacker stopped loading CD's after the last track day. Took the unit out and cleaned up all the CD loading bits and re-lubbed with lithuim grease. Running good again. Added a $30 E46 Ebay reverse cam, relay and wiring for power / video / reverse. Video Cam wasn't a great fit and required filing down and silicone around the edge. However , seems reliable enough. Added a Reisler Ibus to USB adaptor and wired it into the BMW wiring loom. Simple exercise as it only needs power , earth and Ibus connections. Useful device as allows the PC to read Data on the Ibus. In turn I'm using software from the internet to interpret the Board Monitor Nav screen buttons and knobs to control Car Media software Rideruner and Carmedia The E46 M3's have a reduced tyre well and only use a gunk pump rather than spare tyre. Not great if you get anything other than a puncture but perfect for dropping amps into. Did a bit of a boot mock up for an AMP Rack / Crossovers and Netbook. Looks like it will all fit. Not pictured is another set of crossovers and I still need to sort a USB powered DAC for the Netbook for better audio resolution. Have added a USB powered hub so I can add more usb devices over time. So far will power and connect Bluetooth , 3G Data , Bluray , Ibus adaptors , video adaptor. Will add Freeview Tuner and Hi res audio Dac at a later date Added a video Cable to TV Video Module Aux input. This will be used for displaying the Netbook via the 16:9 standard BMW screen. It's not the highest resolution screen but seems ok. Using a Dicksmith VGA to video convertor from the Netbook Removed the Jap toll system card reader box from the glasses compartment. The USB bluray player seems to fit in it's place nicely. Will cover off any optical media.

Best example of a 2002 M3 ? Can't be. It's sitting in my garage ....... or Central's ?

Have you ever had analysis of the oil done after an oil change ? Normally the oil has no problem in terms of it's properties at this amount of km's unless the car only gets short runs or sits around too much (track days as well). Need to remember that it's not shared with the gearbox as with other engines and will last longer. Quick visual check via the oil on the dipstick will give a reasonable indication.
