i installed a bigger TB from e30zone (not the site, a user on there) uses same size throttle plate as an m30, with the body bored out to match made a bugger all difference...i really would not bother. i think the limiting side of the 325 intake is the port size (compare to s14 and you will see what i mean). having said that for high tune m20 (2.8 + other mods) its worth it....and for me i wanted it for the eventual turbo side of things ITB"s are doable with after market management, but i really don't know how much gain for the hassle and $$ of setting them up

My phone cost 250....only reason i paid more than a cheap phone was for the decent camera (1.3 mp). wait for something to come on special....a phone is a phone...as long as it can txt and call (and now pxt) its good enough for me

One problem is that you are asking people to spend $15k on a car that is essentially unmodified, slow and therefore would be uncompetitive and not especially exciting to drive in any other other racing series, except this one. And, in my eyes there is not anywhere near enough info on races/running costs/entry fees. Granted, they have probably not been decided yet, but an indication would be nice (ie would there be 4 races or 10 for the season?). Can you run in the series but not every race and still be eligible. I think the racing would be a hell of a lot of fun though. Also, they need to make it clear about using non-sponsored parts (ie can i use my bilsteins, H&R's, race seats, strut braces etc of do i have to go out and buy the 'correct' items?) also, why not allow body kits? i would be a lot happier if i could have a car that looked decent as well as i could race it....the mtech 1/2 kits would hardly garner any if much aerodynamic advantage, especially at the speeds these cars would go at. i can understand the rear spoilers, but the sides and back, even the front really dont do bugger all.

if you do it all yourself, yeah should do keep in mind gaskets, and if you want to use the 325 intake manifold (its bigger)

i missed the whole convo only needs a sump (from the donor 320, all m20s the same) tis not the diesel crank...they very rare in NZ. Headgasket=250ish bolts=50 ish and....? thats for a 320..the 325i build is harder but in theory better then just swap wiring looms and whack it straight back in, i could help someone do it if they were super keen and the price...why do you people not make any offers! $650

its hard to describe, basically just a chunk of aluminium machined to fit into the e30 shift lever bottom and selector rod...just lengthens the length below the fulcrum. nice and simple, and works good. copy of the one gerry had on his old e36 318is.

i know, you're telling me might try find a buyer outside the interweb too

Centrelock badass...love the look maybe an iS lip with splitter for the front? and fibreglass replica mtech2 wing? or mtech 1 wing (would look badass, not great for downforce though i imagine)

Colin Briscoe at BMW NZ, the series organizer. Not sure of contact details but if I find will pass on. E36's would be too slow, plus they more difficult to work on, and still more expensive than a comparable e30. the only prob i see with it is that it really doesnt allow for dual 325targa/320 series car, as there is too much stuff to change back and forth. that would allow the targa guys to run a 'detuned' version of the car. will be very interesting to see progress on the series.

AFAIK, should be the same as my z3 m coupe one. $140 from stealer. Nick, where did you get it? Bavarian?
-
107rWkW...depends on how you look at it for actual power, but other 325's were doing low to mid 90's
-
my headers for m20....steel...painted black for anti rusting properties and extra badass look...make power delivery quite peaky (have a dyno graph kicking around, doesnt drop off before 6500RPM like most m20's) so works well with a cam and head mods. Comes with attachement flange for 2.5" exhaust...will be looking to sell the exhaust with it. 1x resonator, and 1x muffler, by al's mufflers <1 year old. will be going on trademe soon i imagine, unless i get a decent offer here. Will classify a decent offer as high hundreds, but short of a k (exhaust alone was 600 all up). use your powers of persuasion.

250-260k. tardme this week if it goes ahead

thanks. i think trademe is great....avoids common traps of me asking a too high or too low price. in theory, should give me the correct market price on that particular day. i am just informing all possible buyers so they are all correctly informed about the occasion.

are you sure its a v8? sounds like it could be the m30 i-6. in that case, ditch the 3.0 and get a 3.5 and use the 5psd box...would be a nice lil setup. the only probs could be the wiring..maybe just buy an auto 535 and do a manual swap? not sure on prices so couldnt really help ya out...have not worked on e34's but would come have a look and give a hand if poss...for beer
-
anyone know of one? how often they come up? have never tried to find one..only mtech 1's!
-
IdleControlValve stuck open? if the TB closed and it idling that high, thats pretty much the only way air can get into the engine. unless you have a vacuum leak somewhere around TB/Intake manifold
-
i THINK they are staggered....if they are should be 8/9. will check

fine for any e30 i imagine....3.64 seems to be the most popular for NZ New cars...both auto and 5spds seem to have it. 1st gear~ 60 2nd ~ 95ish. As for price, will prob put on trademe if and when i have decided to sell
