the issue isnt the panel itself its all the attachment bits..i could have made the panel itself easily enough but the attachment is the same amount of work again at least if not more seeing the stock ones are fairly light and they can get damaged easily i wouldnt worry about the panels, i would go for the doors, a lot less potential for weight loss there as you can literally just have a skin http://www.e30tech.com/forum/viewtopic.php...&highlight= here the thread i seen them on, the fact you got a cage means you can have something pretty flimsy

^^ i should have a sticky in performance section on this basically, the 731 (320 and 323) head bolts up to the e bottom end fine..both heads you have should be this, use the H23 one definately. use the 325i loom/ecu/intake manifold/afm/injectors and you should be fine..if the H23 has a slightly more lumpy cam than stock i have heard of around 190hp with a decent amount of torque, making a cheap easy n decent engine. problem with the 885 (325i) head is that its made for the 325i domed pistons so loses a lot of compression if you do it that way

badass ive been so hanging out for this

badass...love the dragon wish i was back to see how this turns out personally im mighty impressed that andy managed to do it keeping all his extremities on as for weight: smaller motorsport high torque starter (no idea where, seen em in mags over here) cos you have the massive one if i remember right fibreglass doors can be gotten from somewhere..saw them on e30 tech? do what warren glassford did with his bonnet, keep the steel but remove all the other bits n pieces and pin at the front your battery is tiny already which is good lexan windows? rear window? get rid of the rest of your sound deadening strip out the sunroof and all the winding equipment, and weld the panel in i have been rather occupied with these important issues of course

recommend a change in the lowest income (down to 10000 or so) finer changes (10k instead of 20k, makes a big diff in disposable income)

yeah wrong box just do a manual swap, far more worthwhile. unless your bent on saving pennies or changing engines

just get a jappa, some POS that you dont care about. pay as little as possible else, an e30 touring is cool, but not that many around to choose from
