    m52-52 into e30

the 2.8 L from an e36 or z3 or e39 would be an awesome swap, esp with the alloy block. go in a 328i e36 manual, they go pretty well so in a lighter car it would be super cool...its mainly the torque that makes that difference search e30tech and r3vlimited.com, heaps of US guys have done it
  2. State sucks balls after writing off a car at 16, they insured me for a year and then turned around and said 1.8L primera was too big of an engine. needless to say whole family changed insurance companys after that...f**kers
  3. looks good mike tomcat whats your setup? 666 stuff is super mint getting stuff made up is the most reasonable way to go..i might do one someday when i learn to weld! anyone wanna run welding lessons? steve n i keen
  4. they are cheap (er than a full manifold) easier to install and can make decent power, as the e30 manifold isnt too bad stock (facelift has bigger ports) ^^ TCD ftw...12secs and 400 ft lb of torque..badass
  5. first is the DTM style one (glenn has done something similar with the rear end, e28 stuff??) second is normal rear coil over (talk to josh, he has made some up, look pretty good) cant really see the perch adjuster its just behind the brake disc
  6. sounds about right...you mean whole spring/shock/strut in front and spring/shock/height adjust perches on the back? not cheap but i doubt you will find much cheaper standard rear shock position is used, its the spring that moves...have not seen many (any in nz??) that have not used the standard spring position anyway..used on the dtm cars if you want to check s14.net for what i mean
  7. red...and a future white one?
  8. no...4 cylinder e30s rule..

  11. there may be another m325i FS too soon...
  12. will prob need to make your own up dude, never seen a set FS... fronts are pretty straight forward, rears depend on how hardcore you want to go, whether you use the stock shock/spring position or go all hardcore and hammer out some space to do a proper strut assembly
  13. my power steering rack apparently has some play in it...have a spare but cant be arsed hooking up all the lines and everything...what do i have to do to convert a power steer rack to manual? i i remember right its something along the lines of making up some new lines to connect either side so the fluid recirculates??

  15. H&R sports...33mm drop or so, handle great on the road, not bad on track..best compromise i have come across so far would be suspicious of repco shocks...bilstein or koni seem to be the way to go..happy to take ya for a ride at a meet sometime

    E34 + E30 = 335i

insurance normally pretty good if its your car ... around the $500 for most e30s that have been wrecked pos 3 cant be done on RHD due to the pedal linkage...you can remove it and then position it however.. tim the m30 is around 60kg heavier...a helluva lot on the v front! more power for your buck than a 2.7, but andrews 2.5 race car was pulling on robs 3.5 with dogleg box in a straight line from a similar speed start...completely different but its not that much more powerful...the torque on the engine is more suited as a badass road car 4 cylinders rule anyway!
