rx65 is old news dude...go the sti ( i think maybe called xr in nz?) or else the V1 if you want direction arrows. this thread has been covered before (or similar) so best solution is simply to use your head and take it easy the majority of the time..radars have always made me slow down for some reason.
-
have got a really good nick manual one, from 318iS but is the same. $150. PM and we can talk details
-
stop being a poof and let me do it with a hammer
-
haha yeah...most e30s have years of crap arch build up. scum
-
what im saying is you would have to change your gearbox to do the m30, so it would probably be easier and cheaper to stroke your m20. as above with the 731 head, maybe a lumpy cam. the bottom end will prob be fine, so just a nice head rebuild and your away. is it auto or manual? would def manual if it was auto first..much better change!
-
probably easier, aside from the fact you need to change gear boxes...not really worth it as a 535 has a whopping 208 hp or whatever it is. m20 would be around 190 i would hope for? as for 1 to 10, depends on the person!
-
read my stroker article i posted up from Total BMW basically the easiest way to do it is to put the 731 head from e30 320 or 323 and whack that straight on ya block...any other decent way involves a full rebuild 325i intake manifold/TB and injectors etc is recommended too. not sure about ecu/chip requirements
-
hmm..shouldnt have failed a wof on that! sounds like rubbish..i think i might have found ya old one if ya wanna pick it up friday..think its the ticket

as im putting it back in, decided to weigh the tow bar: 13kg not bad not bad, and all helps weight distribution! can someone post up what the race series cars actual weights are? interesting as most seem to be similar weights
-
re: doing the s50 swap in NZ...has anyone actually got a reasonable firm price for EVERYTHING you need inc misc stuff like manifolds/ecu etc?
-
retarded, look where the turbos are! http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/aut...bmw-e60-m5.html

a btb manifold converts to around $1800 plus the cost of getting it here...andys headers + exhaust cost around 3k...so not exactly cheap. ideally would want to sell for around a grand
-
i think its about right, knowing the car..there aint that many mtech 2 door black 325 manuals around..all good things good luck with sale jock! hopefully a local will snap it up and see it go to a good home
-
please ask, im no expert but can relate my own experiences depending on how things go down, may be copying a set of reputable headers anyway..im over in the UK in July so might try get a BTB back here somehow, depending on $$ at the time
-
right...head skimming doesnt seem to work with m20s as piston-head clearance is already tight as for headers, good quality big $$ ones seem to give improvements, one of the few recorded ones is the BTB manifolds (from UK) giving about 18hp and around the same ft lb improvement (SAE Corrected assumed). andrews race car headers from mark herbert gave good gains too (with a host of other mods too) big $$ though. if choosing between stock manifolds, go facelift, it had much larger ports

i'd be your bitch, as long as i had access to a decent e30 for the track
