    New ride - not BMW

Nice choice of car graham, those things are great fun, my dad had turbo one in the same colour years ago and it was awesome, good memories. Good to see you got one with the targa tops, convertible without the wimpy looks.
  5. rather reminiscent of the Messerschmitt KR200 if you ask me... still, theres got to be a prettier way... like a Peel P50! (remembering JC driving through the Bbc... hahaha) edit: link
  6. would you be able to send me a pic tomobmw @ gmail . com . Thanks
  7. As the title states, i am looking for an E30 M-tech 1 Steering Wheel, in good condition. Thanks.

    HUD

might also mention if your hopes for it being flush may be related to the damn smash-and-grab the unit is on a magnetic base and is easy as to remove, and ive got that mounted to the dash with heavy duty double sided tape. You dont see it while you're driving if thats a plus...

god the garage looks like a tip, whoops! all the car cleaning products are arranged neatly just out of shot!

    HUD

you're welcome, yeah i wish there was a way that it was not so out-there and better integrated but i guess thats what the pricey new M6 is for...? damn eh.

    HUD

Heres some crappy cameraphone pics of it (just nipped down to the garage) ( The lit up bit on the left of "gps" is the compass that is spinning as it is trying to calibrate (takes about 15 sec each time its turned off) of course not calibrating as its in the garage )

    HUD

heh mine was easy "install" as using gps within the unit you just mount it on the dash where it will reflect, put the supplied film onto the windscreen and plug it into the 12v socket running the cable behind the dash, too easy. For the one you linked to it would need to be wired in 'somewhere' to the speedo cable ?from the ecu? to get a reading aswell as for the revs *and* run some power to the unit but that electrical stuff mystifies me im afraid, wouldnt be able to give you a conclusive answer.

    HUD

Hi There great idea getting a heads up display, the one i have is certainly pretty useful on the open road. Not so sure as to that model in relation to ease of wiring it up- my one works through GPS for added accuracy independent of the tampered-with rim size on my car and thus speedo accuracy... its this model if you're interested: Globe-Top GPS HUD but yeah, great aid on the open road when radar detectors are a no-no
  14. oo that would have been an almighty crunch. someone buy it and part it out, ill have the tec1 steering wheel
  15. ***EDIT: MUST BE COUPE SEAT, AS IT NEEDS THE COLLAPSE-FOWARD LEVER*** As the title says, I am looking for a mint condition, no rips or tears e30 driver's seat to replace my tired one. Needs to be in the same style as pictured, and would like it to be in the greater auckland area for logistical reasons- orewa to bombay and ill pickup. Thanks (It has deteriorated in condition since this picture was taken)

    E30..Trailer?

the owner of that is an american e30tech.com regular if i remember correctly. very "cute" helluva lot nicer than an "e30-camino" ute chop up for similar practicality.
  17. Quite cool ideas and film techniques, but a supercar ad where you cant hear it??? lame!

    Yves Rossy, the jet-man

just add ironman suit = the win. thats seriously awesome... and seriously nuts. Edit: id do it. makes alot more sense than plain old skydiving.

    E39 Touring

beaut wagon and wheels, really like the M6 style. Could do with a motorsport front bumper, that would balance out the proportion imo. nice.
  20. Ive seen this guy once driving the thing. Being bagged and 22s makes a perfectly nice 7 look, for want of a better word, chav. utterly obscene.
