BMTHUG 1057 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 PATIENCE YOU MUST HAVE my young padawan... Assuming you have time you can expect to do my brake lines and power steering this month, just waiting for all the parts to arrive! So much easier on a hoist. I'll probably do my cooling system overhaul, that seems straight forward enough. I will definitely have time for her Dave Patience is my virtue oh wise one haha

handgrenade 189 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 I have bad luck with messing those nitty bitty things on cars. With an airbag involved I would be more concerned haha. The belt is easy enough. Willl be doing that on the evo this weekend.

BMTHUG 1057 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Curbed my custom painted wheels cos a courier driver thought it was okay to pull out onto me. Had to swerve hard to the right to avoid him and ended up curbing both my right side wheels. Back and front so bloody gutted. Cost me a fortune to paint and refurb. I had words with the courier driver after. This will cost a fortune to fix and paint Not a common wheel colour. KwS 2425 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 Hehe with the amount of effort you went to selling your e36.. Maybe time for another M series..? Likely it'd be an E46 if i went M3 again. Would love an M5 but they are still mental dollars.

BMTHUG 1057 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 Hah, gutted. The irony of me on Sunday asking if you had managed not to curb your wheels! ^ oh dude! And after the chat we had on Sunday too. Feel for you, damn courier! argh, thats some brutal curbing.Yeah guys its bloody guttering. so bloody disappointing. Been driving for a couple months with the wheels on no sweat then a courier comes along and tries to come into the side of me but oh well. Off they go to get fixed next week. My usual painter is out of the scene so will have to use wheel fix it on Wairau road. Not cheap but man its gotta be done. So gutted though.
BMTHUG 1057 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 Also called the courier company to report the incident in hopes of their insurance being able to cover the damages but alas the driver is saying the sun was in his eyes and he couldn't see me coming. Pathetic really

handgrenade 189 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 Nice about your new shop. Courier and bus companies usually have quite good insurance.. Maybe because they know they have lots of accidents. Did you get any witnesses or anything? That's why I run a constant recording dash cam front and rear on my BMW

BMTHUG 1057 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 Your current forum 'status' from Jan 15 is somewhat appropriate today... "Can't wait to get my rims on! Now only if the painter would hurry up and finish em! haha" Yeah man but I am looking at a same day repair next week some time so keen for that
