What'd you do to your BMW today?

Not sure how my car effects your life anyway Andrew, but ok then?

You mean finger tight and half a turn, isn't accurate enough?

Nope, should be done up until it snaps then back it off half a turn.

If you drive it on the road then it affects anyone else on the road.

Nice work sir. Is this for the M3 or (one of) the other E36's?

M3 of course! Apart from the e30 the others are good to go now that the 46 isn't spewing coolant. Cut down to 4 bmws now, times are tuff!

Recieved an email advising my gearbox is here and ready to be picked up. I think I have got a little bit of chub.

New RTA bushings and shims/limiters in the e36. Thanks Mike for the parts & advice.

Damn pressing those things in with the trailing arm still on the car is not an easy job.

Fresh WOFs for the e36 and e30.
New alignment booked for tomorrow.
And thus concludes a full week of doing nothing except working on my cars. Phew.

Swapped out the nasty "wood grain" dashboard and console trims for some "carbon fibre" motorsport ones. MASSIVE thanks to Brent at BM World for these. Door trims being changed soon to more fitting items..excuse woodgrain shift handle. That will soon be a manual shift knob :) also washed her and cleaned her. Pics to follow

Drove the wife's e36 328 550 kms today. Nice to drive a car that can soak up the backroad bumps.

Curious how much you paid?

BMWorkshop quoted me over $200 for one...

I ordered one online from FCP Euro. Was about $100 including shipping.

So stupid that it's cheaper to import parts yourself. Local suppliers are only good for stuff you need urgently...

Was $119 for trim, and 30 for new clips and screw caps

Also brought two new sets of wheels for reasons unknown.

M3 got new belts and idlers today, aswell as new front swaybar links and bushes. Rears still to be installed. Also figured out why my ac has stopped working over the last few weeks when I've actually needed it, no voltage to lock the clutch up. Hmmmm the hunt for perfection continues

Hmm actually looking back at the pics you're talking about one for the E36 M3?

Assumed it was E46, oops.

Yes e36. E46 is hopefully similar pricing.

Rebuilt both front and rear washer motors on the touring. The front one stopped on Sunday and the rear has never worked. Both were corroded to hell but now buzz happily.

Will see how long they last while replacements come in.
