Tidy but asking too much?

If it really stackes up...it's under priced... it would be worth alot more

I am pretty sure this is the "cut n shut" car that was talked about on the forums a few years ago.

Story was that Atta (crazyarab) wanted to buy it, so took it for an inspection. He was told the whole front end was from a different car. Then the owner sold it to Archibald Barr (the used car dealership).

It is very tidy... but it's two different cars (I'm 90% sure).

I'll do a search and find out if this is totally true, or if I have a bad memory and have this confused with another car.

"QUOTE (_Mark_ @ Aug 15 2009, 01:04 PM)

I just realised this is the car that Atta looked at when he was searching for an E30. Was being sold privately then. He took it to DCH Motorsport for a look over and they told him it had had a massive shunt at some point and most of the front end has been cut and shut from another car. They basically told him not to touch it with a really long pole of the barge variety.

That's so funny, because we both commented on this very car in Andre's Tech I pics thread yesterday and didn't realise it was one and the same. I was going to have a look at it today.... not any more!

Hahahaahah it's that one!! I KNEW I HAD SEEN THAT PLATE BEFORE...

Yeh, don't go near it :/

I could have picked it up for 7.5k... wow thats a mark up."

Sounds like a smash & stitch job, kinda raises suspicions by the lack of description alone. If it's such a fantastic example surely you'd be a little more enthusiastic in your selling than one poorly constructed sentence??

Normally backward into fences?

Anyway, if the repair is good it shouldn't make too much difference.

Nice to hear - I have a almost identical car but with the leather interior though I hope without the additional welding...

Agree, if its been done properly youll probably find its straighter than one that hasn't been done.

e30's arent the most ridged cars.
