Mark 178 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 These are such nice cars. It's a shame they're not commanding the higher prices that other classic BMW's are at the moment. Their time will come I suppose. Best of luck with the sale Martyn. If you find someone who really wants one of these you'll have no trouble getting your asking price. I sold my low k's 535iSE manual on Style 5's for $6k so there are buyers out there it just might take a while.
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 they are very underrated, they arevery nice to drive, comfortable and very reliable even 25 years later, especially the 535i version.

But I keep seeing scrappy 320's with BBS reps on for 5-6k and I think this is twice the car they are. So why are you selling it, Martyn? You waited years to buy it, and now... Head is telling my heart I should change as I'm about to be doing a fair amount of driving with my boys football. My wife's e39 530i is just so comfy and so easy to drive. But she will always be going in the other direction with our daughters netball. Perhaps I'm just getting old and want a comfy chair. Thanks Boris, I still think of your's and can still remember the photo's. One of the best cars I've never seen in the flesh To be honest, I really don't want to sell it. This car has really got under my skin. It was just wof'd serviced at Mike Page and Geoff there (who used to run Shelly's workshop) said it was the best car he has driven in ages. He couldn't believe how well it drove and how after just having ticked over 25 years it needed absolutely nothing doing to it. He remembers working on them when they were new. Driftit 2078 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 http://www.trademe.co.nz/851350099 It will take me a bit to convince her away from replacing this with an E46 however.

Apex 693 Report post Posted March 20, 2015 If I had the space I would,in a heart beat,Martyn did offer Would love this also... I have no garage though. You never realise how good a big garage is until you no longer have one. Would be a shame to leave this out in the cold. Drove Boris's car a few years ago, best 5 series I have driven, was like a E39 that had done some boot camp. Good luck with the sale.
