He might have turned them off completely? In DTC mode (reduced but not full off) the E92 is very controllable even in slides, I've had mine slide off a good 25-30 degrees when trying out launch control on crappy roads and saving it was effortless.

I haven't been brave/dumb enough to turn them off completely though.
