Herbmiester 928 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 Anyone know anything about this M3, its been on for a while now, suspect the colour is putting people off a bit. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-959876314.htm
zero 1162 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 Really well spec'ed and maintained by the look of things. But that colour ruins everything. :puke:
Andre3000 55 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) Looks like its been riced and raped to me from photos and description. Id go out on a limb and say that if the cars on finance and he is selling dirt cheap its probably been poorly maintained. Save 3.5g more and buy one that's been maintained properly with service history, and no blingblingebay rice. Edit: Q motor surrounds, never seen a specialist in his ownership. Haitoman 110 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 I actually think it is probably a good buy.
Matth5 471 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 How does the "Q Motors" surrounds on the plate mean it's never seen a specialist? I bought my 335i from them, they seemed to know their stuff with BMWs and they sell heaps of them...
MD13 494 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 I find myself liking it despite the colour... Only warning flag for me are the tyres - had a set on a previous car and the wet performance was very poor.
KwS 2425 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 im clearly in the minority in thinking PY and Kiwi is a great combo. Only one better is black with kiwi interior. I hate those painted factory wheels with a vengeance though. IMO it sounds looked after, with some rather marmite modifications, but as long as there is proof of the work done and the boot floor is still intact it wouldnt be a bad buy.
Matth5 471 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) Just noticed it has no WOF according to the listing. A lot of things have been replaced though. "Gearbox mount replaced"Only one replaced? There are two mounts, should be replaced together along with engine mounts (BMW advises they should always all be replaced together). Michael. 2313 Report post Posted January 7, 2016 I've always thought that was one of the best M3 colours. Its so classic early 00s.

I bought my 335i from them, they seemed to know their stuff with BMWs and they sell heaps of them... A bmw specialist in would've replaced the surrounds with their own. May have been before it reached the q yard, just a quick observation and just my point of view.
Driftit 2080 Report post Posted January 8, 2016 I've always thought that was one of the best M3 colours. Its so classic early 00s. Baby sh*t Yellow is my least favorite. Reminds me of when people painted there cars Burnt Orange and Gold.
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted January 8, 2016 I know what you mean. But I like the Orangey Commodores so what does that tell you Phoenix Yellow on the M3 even looks good when the cars been crashed.
will 169 Report post Posted January 8, 2016 There are a bunch of you that really need to get a life.. You sit around like a bunch of old menopausal spinster women in a retirement home desperately seeking things/people to criticise despite knowing NOTHING of the circumstances. One starts it off (like in this topic) and the rest are in like a pack of dogs. Is it that you are not getting it at home??? Maybe you all should invest in an inflatable lady/man which you can pass around to remove the source of your frustration???

Wow I remember that photo from like it was yesterday. One of the first if not the first person to die in an E46 M3.
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted January 8, 2016 Wow I remember that photo from like it was yesterday. One of the first if not the first person to die in an E46 M3. They actually died? Not surprising, the damage is hugely significant. Are you aware of anymore pictures? Seems like the whole front has been twisted around to the RHS. Matth5 471 Report post Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) A bmw specialist in would've replaced the surrounds with their own. May have been before it reached the q yard, just a quick observation and just my point of view. My E46 had a couple visits to Bellars Motor Works and one at BM Workshop, they didn't replace it. Although it had a Team Mcmillan one so maybe they will only replace 'crap' ones. My E92 had one visit to BM Workshop for a software update and the Performance Power Kit, still has the Q motors surround Also, maybe that M3 is owned by the guy that works at Q Motors with Kyu (not the Kyu on this forum)? He did tell me he had an SMG M3 when I was chatting with him. What we really need are Bimmersport.co.nz plate surrounds Edited January 8, 2016 by Matth5
qube 3570 Report post Posted January 8, 2016 the owner of this m3 is a friend of mine and works at Q motors but the m3 is his own (not a company car or trying to sell company stock) Kyu from Q motors is the owner of the dealership but not me (obviously) afaik he has numerous cars - last time i saw him drive past i think it was porsche gt3 or similar
