For those who have done a 100,000km in your 130i what have you had to do?

From 110-210km mines been:

  • 3 sets of tyres (first 2 were Pilot Sports, since moved to Primacy and getting much better life for slightly less performance)
  • Set of brake rotors
  • Set of pads
  • 2 coils
  • Accessory Belt tensioner and belt
  • Many oil changes
  • Rear sub frame bushes
  • Gearnob (was getting pretty worn from ~160km)

I need to do the rocker cover gasket and front brake lines in the near future. I may jinx it, but it's been pretty cheap to run thus far.

I've only done about 70k in mine. Nearly all open road.

Replaced the following

2 x sets of tyres

Coils and plugs

Vanos motor and gasket

Both top rad hoses

Gearbox service due to it only having a few litres of fluid in it from a previous service.

Footwell computer

Headlight bulbs

However I need to replace the following soon.

Control arms

Brake rotors

Shocks

Rest of cooling system.

There's usually 20-30 though that slowed down the last few months.

The free selling yesterday has brought a few out of the woodwork. That le mans blue manual in Porirua 🤦

Filthy auto for 15k... :D  You'd think if you are going to try go for higher end of the pricing, would at least give it a wash and a vacuum....

Could be keen, how are they to install?

replacing the taillight is pretty easy! just dont drop the 3x hex nut!
But i believe if your car is a pre-lci you might need to fiddle with some wirings to get your electronics to communicate with the taillight

Follow this step :)

Price is for one tail light only. Very misleading auction by that seller.

I genuinely don't understand people that don't give the car a good clean inside and out when it's up for sale :)

My next diy oil service is coming up, and just looking for an affordable options to get Oil filters online as getting one locally can be abit expensive. Do you guys think the link below is a good deal? you get a 4 pack of HU816x and it'll cost $42.37nzd inc shipping and it's based in Australia. I think its a pretty good deal! 🤩

I need another filter so happy to buy one off you if you buy the pack lol

Otherwise I'll get the pack, think one filter was $20NZ on fcp euro before shipping. Good deal.

Interesting the same thing for sale on their own website is twice the price

https://runautoparts.com.au/mann-oil-filter-hu816x-4-pack-hu-816-x-4pcs

that's really odd, they probably have a higher demand and customer rate on ebay than their local stores.

Hmm.... I've got the CIC upgrade with hi-fi and have noticed the subs don't seem to be working when using AUX, can feel them with the radio though.

Anyone familiar with this kinda thing?

They are in parallel with the front door speakers, so it'll be an equalizer thing, or your front door speakers wouldnt be working either.

The rims and the rusted up rotors tell a pretty good story from the pics that are there.

Anyone know much about this one?

Sold my 130i last year, but hankering to get into another.

Am viewing the above next weekend, but does anyone have any background before I head down to Hamilton?

Single exhaust tip?

Less tips = less resistance = performance exhaust..?
