I suspect this may be a tough sell.

The car is (I'm guessing) $200k; the paint job allegedly cost(s) $300k. World renowned artist, etc.

An estimate of $400k-500k doesn't include the 5%+GST buyers premium.

It’s an art piece, painted on a car. Probably of more interest to an art collector than a car enthusiast.

The Jeff Koons M3 art car was awesome, one of the few recent ones that I could appreciate.

200 hours to do the paint work on this apparently, plus each of the 99 cars is different.

Even the handbook folder is in four different colours of leather!

I do like a bit of pop-art personally, but it’s probably a bit out of my price range.

I would say due to wrapping technology nowadays, these paint jobs / cars don't have the same impact nor garner similar appreciation as the art cars of the olden days. 

I still remember when I went to see a handful of the original BMW art cars back in 1989. It was mesmerising.
