ssbmw 221 Report post Posted October 29 (edited) It’s been discussed many times over the years…. Rolled down a hill in Wellington… owner got a black one to replace it… this car was written off and put together and sold. Front end damaged… sold a few times over the years…. Now been traded into a Christchurch dealer. One of the most desirable colour / interior combo’s( despite the ostrich sports leather and titanium trim being the poverty pack option in its day). I guess that explains why the panel gaps in the front are on the piss. Just look at the lines around the RH front corner... I'd want a clean history for that sort of money. topnotchrally 112 Report post Posted October 31 (edited) My car has a cover over (under?) the subwoofers in the rear parcel shelf, in the truck. Or are those not the OEM subwoofers? Edited October 31 by topnotchrally

Hi James, I believe that your car may have had the DSP audio set up vs the M-audio that this car has been optioned with. I have the M-audio system identical to this on my M5. Irrespective of the 'M-Audio' moniker, I am not overly impressed with the sound- and it has been universally criticized - not befitting a sound system of a luxury car. ssbmw 221 Report post Posted October 31 Love the statement 'only 46 in this colour with a sunroof.' In actual fact - 556 were made in LMB in rhd. Most had sunroofs.
ssbmw 221 Report post Posted December 4 $89,990. Then $76,990. now $69,990. Dropped (approximately) by a third already. As many had predicted. Market has definitely cooled off but what’s the level where it’s compelling for a car with history like this?
ssbmw 221 Report post Posted December 4 The court case which was discussed on this forum years ago. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/auckland-car-dealer-ordered-to-pay-nearly-8000-for-misleading-conduct/P6WWZN2XOJXGIKW7645O4TXQYE/

MD13 496 Report post Posted December 4 Could they argue that "stunning example" is a reference to how you will feel finding out it was written off?
topnotchrally 112 Report post Posted December 4 Holy Irony Batman! The car owner who sued the dealer is Maxwell FLAWS.🤣 The car had some flaws and Flaws had the car.😂 Does anyone believe that the dealer didn't know the car was written off? I don't. What I don't understand is why the settlement was reduced because he had driven for 16 months. The question was not about its current value but about the value when he purchased it. The court ruled he was over charged by $9500, why is it relevant that time had passed since the sale?
treone 648 Report post Posted December 4 My 2c - This is a case of how much someone is willing to pay for it, with or without knowing its history, not what this is worth. So with this knowledge, offer $10-15k and be done with it haha 🤣
Zadkiel 41 Report post Posted December 4 Interesting, reading between the lines of the history I had already found on this one it seemed there was a bit more to it. It is a lovely colour combo though!
