Got around to buying a pair of Germanplates for one of my Rovers the other week. $130 shipped for a pair with frames. Will never be able to justify the $370 for "legit" euro plates. Sure, the font isnt the same, but ill take the risk.

When it comes to brakes there are a lot of decent artermarket options that are significantly less expensive than oem. I bought stoptech pads and DBA rotors forthe 335i and they work really well. Litterally half the price of M.

Hope you all have a great holiday break and enjoy the festive season without too much drama. Botany Motor Worx Ltd will be closed from 12.01pm on Friday the 22nd of December till Monday the 15th of January. And before all the fake news and rumours start, Botany Motor Works Ltd will stop trading as a motor vehicle repair facility as of the 28th of February 2018. Botany Motor Worx Ltd is not in a financial situation and all commitments and financial commitments will be met on or before the 30th February 2018 I've had enough and I'm going fishing, but I do have a phone and am still available for advice and help to the many friends I have made here over the years.

Yeah, might make a trip down to take a look at it. But Wanganui's a bit far so hopefully something closer to home pops up.

Meh oil companies will work it out when it's viable for them. I bet it's no more difficult than making an oil platform, taking it 50km off the coast, sucking oil deep off the ocean floor, getting a huge oil tanker to take it back to a refinery for processing, then trucks or more tankers to transport it. They could just build their own small nuclear reactors for endless amounts of electricity to perform the procedures to extract hydrogen and bottle it. If they can produce it, distribute it and sell it when it's more cost effective than oil they will do it. Do you really think they will sit back and watch less sales of oil take place while consumers plug in their battery cars to the electrical grid. Somehow I doubt that. They would rather them buy hydrogen! Hydrogen is the only model that compares to diesel or petrol, giving constant output when being used (no performance or power drop like in battery cars as the battery goes lower and lower) and it would take a few minutes to fill up the gas tank, just like what people are used to today. The plug in and charge method is only going to suit a tiny tiny fraction of vehicle users out there, especially when rapid charge times are still at least 30 minutes and gives limited range.

Ahh nice looking SD1. Have never owned one but always had a soft spot for. V8 version only though...

From BOC gas, in large bottles, easy. Eventually, wait for gas stations to sell it like LPG. Done!

If you spit, does it bounce? Trying to get some perspective of it here

Holiday traffic, where the lesser spotted numpty driver leaves its natural habitat of the city and goes out onto the open road.

while those here that know me off bimmersport whille know i hate monopolies, always caused by government intervention, there are actually times when monopolies are for the best. There is a lot more to it that what you say. the admin costs would be infinately higher if there were 3 or four companies all doing it. There is stilla bricks and morter office, and graphic designers dont come cheap. Its very easy to identify the costs we know, but there are doubtless ones we dont. And unlike selling apples or televisions, every sale you make is dimminishing supply, they cant sell the same plate twice. While i do think they charge a lot, they amount of plates on the road (and indeed my driveway) will say that for many people they are worth the price.

Whatever the case, its crazy if you ask me. And personally I think the Kiwiplates new fern/nz star design looks ugly compared to the old ones from plates.co.nz
