So I finally finished restoring my E46 330ci to its former glory with a respray to most of the car, body work, cut polish. Ended up getting some rims for it too, really adding to the final touch. These things age really well with time! ----- When i begun - it needed some serious love Finished with the respray - but the old wheels - just didnt give it the BMW look And here it is now

Couldn't help myself when this came up. It needs a bit of work. New guibo, headliner and a few other small things like fog lights but it's been well maintained and was only sold because the owner thought the trans was completely stuffed. I kinda feel a bit bad not telling him about the guibo but it was a good bargaining point..lol Anyway. Here it is.

Changed the diff fluid in my daily and the wifes car. Expected the fluid to be dirtier than what it was after 200k and 135k. New fluid on the right, 200k fluid on the left.

This is just the Valvoline equivalent of the Penrite offering. Both meet the same standards. Penrite is $175/20L from Repco right now.

It depends on the person checking the car into the system as to whether the electronic service history is present or not

Hi Guys, I've just sold my E46 M3 and now looking for an E90 Sedan M3. Ideally manual, sunroof, NZ new and with a service history. I know there were quite a few of this spec sold NZ New but I just haven't seen them come up for sale again for a while. If anyone has one, or knows of one for sale please let me know. since last update, it went for the WoF. It failed on a broken fog lamp, which turned out to be a bit of a hassle... I ended up sourcing one brand new from ebay from USA for USA40. And it needed left hand LCA bushings. That's why it had been pulling to the left under braking! For the last TWO YEARS. Nice one VTNZ, you were on your 'a game' for the last three WoF's, eh?! More on the LCA's - I'd replaced them five or six years ago (so only about 25k kms at most) with Meyle HD parts. Odd that they'd died already. Anyway, my partner in volvo crime had a set of genuine volvo bushes in his parts stash, so we had those fitted. Job done. It's now had a coat of wax, and is going up FOR SALE. It's looking spiffy, running well.

Throwing them at Nissan Leaf drivers is pretty fun!

You could use it just fine in your non-turbo Ferrari all other things being equal. The other thing that strikes me about this thread is that OEM certification will only be for the current range of vehicles. An "M" approved oil produced today won't necessarily be "M" approved for vehicles a decade or more older... so that certification is practically useless, perhaps even misleading, for older vehicles. If the original recommended oil for a vehicle isn't available I think valid questions of an oil manufacturer are; what's the replacement product? are there any additives or characteristics of the replacement product that will be worse for my engine than the original? The problem is I doubt we'd ever get a straight or reliable answer to those questions - manufacturers deliberately obfuscate oil product details. It's a less painful process if we can assume every product evolution is better than the last iteration but I'm not sure we can.

some updated pics of the compact have driven it now , goes ok, does need some work on the tune (a bit flat at low to mid revs, maybe over fueling ??) dyno time soon to see where its at
