  1. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/325i/listing/4569771516 This seems like a fair price for the car. I do like the body color but those wheels gotta go. I guess the big issues are it's an UK import and the unknown mileage?
  2. It's the only other NZ new black tech 1 I know of. It's had some extensive restoration done too.
  3. It is interesting seeing prices of regular E30s and Mtech 1/2s in Aus are almost the same as NZ but E30 M3s are way higher in Aus. BAT auctions seemed to have cooled off as well for E30 M3s.
  4. I think pretty much every classic car marque has taken a hit with the exception of 80s and 90s supercars. And with the sad situation in the ME, things could get worse in regards to Petrol prices. E46 M3 manuals are down into the 40s and 50s even here in Australia. I just missed a convertible manual for $30k with 120kms on the clock. But yes if I wanted to spend $30k on a car, an E46 M3 manual would be a lot of fun but maintenance would be a lot higher too compared to an E30 325i. I am almost tempted to sell my Mtech 1 in NZ to score an E46/E92 M3.
  5. So filling it with rice is not an option then.
  6. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m3/listing/3980189698 It’s back. I remember the salesman/owner got shredded on Facebook for listing this at $140k or thereabouts.
  7. I hope everyone and their E30s are safe in Auckland.
  8. These seats don't look original. Rose City cars again.
  9. Did you guys see the black S13 with a RB26DETT conversion on tardme - went for $40k. Just a couple of months ago. That was a steal!
  10. Well I looked at financing an E46 M3 in Aus. It came under the older car umbrella so the 15% interest was justified according to the finance company. I offered monopoly money in return because it seems we were all at a comedy festival.
  11. I am looking at getting a personalised plate and almost spat out the coffee in my mouth when I saw the pricing. I thought the airlines were bad in jacking up the prices.
  12. I wonder why he is selling it so soon. It's a lovely car.
  13. Silver Mtech 2 on Fb classifieds for $43k. Is this the same one from trademe a couple of months ago?
  14. https://shop.alpina-automobiles.com/en/alpina-parts/wheels-rims/194/alpina-classic-wheel-set-e30-7-8-x-16?fbclid=IwAR3RwbbEdA5wX_CjWzn2TCu-dd69he4G7RuIMvCJFcLAWCiHibkyKf38E88 Alpina wheels for E30 back in stock.
  15. I think it’s a tough market atm. I am seeing some absolute bargains in Aus too.
  16. Unless someone who’s living in Aus buys it, keeps it for a year and then moves to Nz. It will be about $2-3k for shipping and compliance provided the car is in sound condition.
  17. @sammo I think they are custom indeed. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1987-bmw-m3-e30-manual/SSE-AD-13784238/?Cr=1 E30 M3 - $85k. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2003-bmw-m3-e46-manual-my03/SSE-AD-12750087/?Cr=23 E46 M3 manual - $47k
  18. Across the pond, Mtech 2. Very tempting. Only if I had a closed garage here in Perth. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1988-bmw-3-series-325is-manual/SSE-AD-13603867/?Cr=52
  19. Talking about Electric cars... interesting argument.
  20. Still in NZ. I am planning on taking it over eventually.
  21. I think it’s a converted manual as well. For $40k, an E36 M3 evo in good condition would be a better car/investment in the long run.
  22. It’s a bit like the housing market. It’s a buyer’s market atm. If you are really desperate to sell your classic car or your house, you are gonna have to lower your expectations. But if you are not, or can ride it out, I think things will pick up again in a couple of years.
