Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

$3,060. That seems like a lot for some twisted sport seats and an unknown condition motor. -
Nice job. Well worth it at that money.

Oh to go back a bit further (2007-8?) when I was being offered M3s out of Japan for $12-15k, and decided they weren’t worth it. -
Problem is the car is in Wellington and I’m in Auckland. So to cover all bases, I would need to buy type an and b Motometer and a set of VDO gears?
-
Great. Dad has just told me that the local mechanic has replaced the cluster 2-3 times because the odo gears stopped working, I’ve just told him today to replace the gears. So we could have anything despite it saying Motometer on the front?
-
And maybe I should add, how do I tell A or B without the cluster out? Impossible?
-
Best place to get these? Garagistic seems like the go? Anywhere local and reasonable?
-
Without the wheels even. 🤦♂️

https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/132900566/all-vehicles-to-move-to-road-user-charges-under-national-including-evs Weight is already in it (sort of), below 3500kg. Most EVs (and most modern cars) are appallingly heavy anyway. My first car weighed about 840kg, my X5 about 2200.

I thought they weee looking at dropping some of the various taxes and making all vehicles pay RUC?
-
Don’t rush, last time I was there they were out of stock. But they will get them in again.
-
Glad someone’s had a good run with them, we haven’t.

That Quickjack was $2299 at Costco.
-
Ryobi one+ batteries are crap. We have 5, 1 works.
-
I’m mainly googling “is that normal?” Doesn’t fit with this thread, but as a positive, I’m alive.
-
Positive experience. And Eagle is right too, sometimes your choice on Rock is limited, but just pick and choose. I can turn negative real quick though if it makes you feel better as I’m currently 6 floors up in Mercy Ascot hospital recovering from surgery.
-
Don’t get me wrong, I now triangulate all parts across different sites. Rock Auto won out last time on price while I was cross checking.
-
You just need to cross reference part numbers, easy enough for BMW, harder for Fiat and Mazda. I bought brake pads/discs and suspension arms for the Mazda, got the pad part numbers wrong, still worked out cheaper than than buying locally even after sourcing new pads.

Ha! That or that E30 M3? Gee, let me think for a nano second. -
@NZ_InFerno, ageee about Singapore. Have experience with 3 cars from there, 2 were awful, the 3rd was actually near perfect, but the percentages don’t stack up. Never again.
