Though your comments are valid, it's like saying your new internal combustion engine car is more detached than the horse that used to pull the old one. There are still many people out there who prefer the likes of a manual transmission, and no magic buttons that adjust the suspension and steering response when it comes to a performance car.

Would be a little careful putting up figures like those on an open forum big brother might be watching.

Detached in the sense that there is an awful lot of 'assistance' going on that the driver is unaware of... or in some cases, like stability control, the driver can be very aware of it which does lessen the experience for many drivers (not me, because I know it may save my life!).

Small world! No issues when i had it at the start of the year, it sounds like the cat is rattly and could definitely do with removal. Oil cooler, head gasket, leads, distributor rotor/cap, a couple of important relays, and crank position sensor are just some of the parts that were replaced. Yep I live up Taieri road, only had the bumper off when it was in the garage getting the engine removed. Good to see it could potentially be in some caring hands!

Pffft. Andy. Just ignore him. he's the forum Troller at heart. My thread can be about anything (as we have already discovered baha) Throw a few spanners at him, and he'll be right.

Dam that looks good. Those red caps really set it off. Just needs a euro plate filler to clean the rear end IMO

Road trip to Taupo with 3 in the car and luggage. AMAZING CAR Not only did I manage to have a decent 13.9 L / 100km average, but also maintained an average speed of around 105kph there and back. With plenty of M mode overtaking, 100-200kph, even managed a top speed run of 245kph without even breaking a sweat. This thing is a savage beast. E60 M5 = The Hound from game of thrones.

It's unclear as to how the costs are accounted for. I think flat fee+hourly for the cert guy is more or less the go. But the fees are going up. Biggest issue is that the Govt gives no f**k for you or your car mods. If they had it their way you'd be able to do approx diddly squat to it. Therefore, they give little or no funding for the cert process. LVVTA is on it's own with a 'f**k you if you don't like it' from the govt cause, after winning the media war, they know you're public enemy number one. ra ra ra...

Since i got the car its had a really irritating metallic chattering/rattling front the front end when going over bumps. When i was last under the car i checked anything i could under there and nothing was loose, so i just ignored it and pretended it wasnt happening until i could get it on a hoist at work. By pure chance i finally found the source of it today.... a missing anti-rattle clip on the front RH brake caliper. Ill pick one of them up this week and chuck it on and ill be good to go. HURRAH!
