Bought this because it looked cool. No regrets so far. Now to figure out what to do with it. Needs an electric mirror switch, some rusty doors sorted out and an ignition tune-up set. Anyone with leads on doors or seats should get in touch.

Hahahahaha, quote of the year... that's definately a great name for the Wombles on the road, plus the description is very accurate. Madame Cholet was always my favourite, it was the sexy french accent that did it!

Martin (BreakMyWindow) helped me swap the DK motors for a spare pair of refurb'd ones I had. We turned a 30-45 minute job into an hour and a half job by both breaking the old, hardened vac hoses into the throttle body. Unfortunately, I was totally unprepared and hadn't purchased any spare hose. Luckily they we managed to stretch what was left (just). Tested last night and wow, what a difference. Way better throttle response and less jerky when throttling on and off. Feels faster - but that might be placebo. Looking forward to a longer drive at the weekend. Pleasantly surprised the new ones didn't need syncing either.

My painter discovered they have been repainted several times since being manufactured in 2003 and one previous painter had painted over some brake dust which seemed to underly below the surface. Long story short I ended up getting them soda blasted at CPR Birkenhead by my old mate Matt Brook who is the man

FYI: "Aeroparks" in a BRILLIANT place. You car is NOT taken offsite - they drive it to reception for you to collect, but that's it. Thaey'd probably not do that if you requested actually. They only collect you in a shuttlebus. I wouldn't use anyone else at AKL, regardless of the car I was in.

Good luck with the sale, fantastic looking car, was looking at the other one just last night. Saving for the latest model myself, 4-door M3 is the answer to most questions.

I could probably have both at current prices (though that would be massively silly and I'd probably get put in a straight jacket for it)..though that's where the sense of me shutting up, selling the m3 later in 2015 and possibly buying an f10 version next year prevails.

Holidays are over, all the f$%ktards have returned from causing mayhem all over the countryside to the mean streets of Auckland. Lack of idiots on the road and traffic in general almost makes it worth staying here over the holidays!
