This is just ridiculous. Some people should not sell their own cars. It's like when people think they can sell their own house, they do a terrible job of it and do some emotional clownish write up about it.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=838208307 "Same look like M5 2000 Model" - Yes, identical except for all of the M5 bodykit parts that make an M5 look like an M5. "Face Lift Front and Back" - Yes, except it's not a facelift, it has had some facelift parts added. "BMW M5 Angle eye Head Lights" - Hmmmnnn....

Looking good man! don't worry too much about the progress. Rather spend a long time doing a small amount then a long time fixing and redoing a large amount. Ive spent 2 weeks on detailing the left rear section on the ute :-)

Scum! It's almost worse finding your car once it's been nicked, you end up having to deal with getting it back if it's f**ked, dealing with insurance (who more often than not are no better than the crooks who stole the car), then your premiums go up, you're out of pocket for the excess, and mostly, in my opinion anyway, you don't want to drive/own a car that some piece of sh*t has butchered and thrashed. Got back to the project today, work and a insatiable need for vacation time has slowed down progress a fair bit unfortunately. All plugs wrapped in clear bags and sprayed with contact cleaner prior, alternator and ac compressor covered and wrapped in clear plastic to ward off imminent coolant spills. - oil cooler set aside with blocks of wood taking weight so no stress on the lines -Fan clutch and shroud removed - coolant hoses removed - radiator removed - ac condenser removed - heater valve removed and replaced - headlight xenon lens replacement and clean up Guys any opinions on what I should do with oil cooler?? Should I drain oil system, remove oil cooler and clean up oil cooler debris (yes the slightest debris are bothering me haha) ??

Probably 4-5 section passes with the cutting pad and compound. Removing the salt damage was harder than removing the swirls. Some bits I had to use a lot of pressure. (Then 2-3 passes with polish)

Sorry for the slow progress.. been trying to get my pug back on the road after its engine swap.. here is todays efforts. Glued and riveted in lexan rear window and painted window surround and top of guard. A little more sanding and fibreglass to do on front lower section of guard and she will get a lick of paint.. next stage is roof and lexan side windows...

They are such an ugly car though, it's not surprising to see the depreciation + those kms.

Yup. I'll drill a hole in the top of the ATF bottle, fit a rubber grommet and make sure the pipe is to the bottom of the bottle. The grommet should hold it secure. If I need to hold the gearbox end, I'll get some help. 8.5 litres total capacity, although some will be in the cooler and some in the torque converter. (Not sure yet if I can drain that - it's easy on the Merc.) Just need to check how much I need to put in before starting the engine - it's full when the fluid is 90-125 degrees F and just starting to leak out of the fill plug hole while the engine is running, the car is level, and the gearbox in Park. In the meantime I need to stand on my left foot, place the index finger of my left hand in my right ear while rubbing my belly anticlockwise with my right hand and chanting "Filled for life, filled for life..."

Haha Cool. I love it. I've got a pile of front brake caliper rebuild bits for an E23 8 pistons, seals etc and two seized capliers. They were supposed to be on my VW van, but I sold it

I did play around with that but it looked too much like a magic eye puzzle.. and yes i thought about it but couldnt be bothered with the hassle of swapping everything over ie dash and wiring loom for guages.
