A couple of updates, just ordered in some 86.5 mm forged Pistons, con rods and arp studs for a s50 engine that I had tucked away in my one day I'll do something with you pile. Don't know if I mentioned earlier in the thread that I acquired a s50b30 engine from a e36 in which I took the gearbox, subframe, Diff, axles, brakes etc from. It had broken a valve and was bouncing around in the #6 cylinder which caused some pretty serious damage, was thinking of trying to repair it when a s50b32 cylinder head came up on trade me and I picked it up at a good price, I thought the ports on the m50b25 even with being ported were big ports it had nothing on the s50b30 and the b32 are even bigger!! ive stripped and cleaned back the whole engine ready for the rebuild, while the engine is out the body will be getting the once over, gearbox overhaul, driveshaft and clutch upgrade as I'm not sure the factory updated clutch will be up to the job. ive been trying to find someone in Nz who has turbo the s50 with very minimal luck, has anyone done it with forged low comp pistons here?

I have the same LTW rep wing and can confirm its good (waiting on full race build to finish and paint), only thing i can suggest is changing the bolts to stainless (as Daniel suggested to me) Well worth the money

225 is considered the minimum for a 8.5 inch rim. 255 is considered the maximum.

I have a set of M20 ARP Studs for sale - PM me if your still looking? Question regarding driveshafts in manual E30's: is there a difference between 320i and 325i? Length wise at least?

just rust and more rust , \\ that's about all I can say for these , especially the early ones pity he doesn't put any decent pics etc . this is the 1st of the e28 based chassis . but will have the earlier type med diff that was a 1 year or so only type . so different rear arms ,axles and diff to the later e24 e28 etc . also 3 or maybe 4 ? speed non switchable auto but could be a cool project but rusty guards ,floor and sills could be a pain to sort to get the car reregged etc

What's it made of? Fibreglass? And does it assemble properly and without gaps without the risers? Cheers.

Don't got to a 215, way too small for anything useful, and in a 40 profile is like a rubberband. A 235/40 is a good size for a 8.5" rim, and almost almost an inch less in OD than the 45's you have As others have said previously (me incl), get some -ve camber in the front end for starters. Either with camber plates, or shims for the knuckle (turner motorsport do a kit for this). The shims are a quick'n'easy way to go, as with the et13 wheels you'll have acres of clearance to the strut. Also look at grafting some E46 flared arches on there and run some meaty tyres, look almost factory on the E36's. Refer to Vorshlag Motorsport for some 'how to'

he's already considered both of those options, I think the 335i is one of those great 'bang for buck' options that's hard to beat.

Just an update the audiovox media bridge works a treat installed in about 20 minutes and ran it to the glove box. Front cup holder were broken so took them out and ran the microphone through the hole. Going to make a blanking plate instead. and attached beside the steering wheel. Good option to leave everything looking stock and and only 200 bucks.

After what has seemed like an eternity we finally finished the exhaust! yayyyyy! all but one set of V-bands after the cross pipe. Had a tidy up of the garage and time to prepare for stage number 2, reconditioning the engine and tidying up the engine bay / de-looming Another update will come shortly.......just waiting for the last of my packages from overseas then can get stuck into the reconditioning

Things are getting closer and closer, exhaust is almost finished, hopefully by the end of next week it will all be fully welded and ready to go, then the mock up has finished and i will be able remove the engine for its final clean down and preperation. getting a little excited. Mean while have started work on the rebuild of my wheels, have ordered all new bolts for them (need to convert them to take m7 hardware) and then can measure up and have all new step lips made for them. Wheels came back from the painters yesterday afternoon, came out better than i had hoped.

Has been a little slow progress lately as have been working out the fiddly parts of the build plus finding the time at the moment. Have finally finished building & installing the new manifolds (still need a slight bit of modifying) Bolted everything together gearbox, driveshaft, all suspension components to measure up all clearances and build the exhaust with out interference. So happy that the time spent measuring and checking heights that everything lined up perfectly and i dont have to go back and re-do things. Fitted new SRS concept offset solid control arm bushes for more clearance. Very nice product. Had another nice headache of the build turn up in the last few days, a nice DINAN lightweight dual mass flywheel. I decided to stick with the dual mass as i wasnt 100% sure on a solid flywheel and and a few people mentioned best to stick with the dual mass setup, it is also running a Sach's M5 performance clutch kit so will hold nicely but give a nice drive as well. I just need to reset the self adjusting pressure plate. And i have finally began the process of refinishing my wheels, have been stripped and sanded and cleaned and are currently at the painters. Have ordered new bolts from america and working on correct specifications/sizes of the lips to order.

So, had a big weekend on the car got a few bit had sitting around fitted and quite happy with the results First off the weekend started with a bit of fire.... man what a bitch those subframe bushes can be....replaced with revshift 12mm riser bushes as well as all rear trailing arm bushes and front control offset bushes. Fitted a rear sway bar, nolathane sway bar bushes, all new ball joints and links & E36 steering rack. then bolted up custom built XYZ suspension, may need a little tweaking with strut and spring lengths to get the required height i am after but will get the engine/gearbox back in first before i make any more calls on that. Also finished up the 5 stud conversion which was relatively straight forward. At the moment it sits like this, wheels are e34 15x7 et20.... After finally getting the old girl back on some shoes again after a few months of having its under belly scrubbed and tidied up i then set out to get the interior tidy..... so started off with this.. a good water blast/ scrub then a few coats of duplicolor vinyl and carpet dye and youd never know, as well as this also did the hood lining black to match Then put the centre consoles with fuzzfabrics houndstooth gear boot and handbrake boot and Recaro LS front seats, which along with the rear will be re-trimmed at a later date to match the gear & handbrake boots. and just for a bit of fun mocked up the Mtech 1 wing just to finish the look Next on the to do list is now to sort out the small patches of rust in the boot area and start on the smoothing and tidying of the engine bay, mean while saving for the all important engine components.
