Hi guys recently came over from the UK and bringing my baby with me, apparently quite rare here I have read. The car is a 2007 interlagos Z4m coupe. How many others own one on here? The car has had a few mods done to it, Bilstein shocks with Eibach springs, BMW OEM strut, Eventuri air intake and OEM 219 E9X m3 wheels

Hi folks, had this a while but just been tarting it up, sold the convertible, no use to me during winter and was after a decent unmolested E30 as my daily and found this little gem, just a baby 318i auto (for now) - came on bottle caps but stumbled across mint 15" basketweaves (the mrs was talking to her hairdresser who had some under his house for years, lucky find!), removed the go-faster stripes it had and did a 4 stage cut and polish while the weather was nice. Sourced a decent stereo to match the orange light interior (from Bonnie Scotland of all places - matches really well and fixed up a couple of glovebox torches - got a mint reupholstered mtech steering wheel (from Ireland) via ebay and currently in the process of getting some msport seats reupholstered in the original indigo stoff fabric, also fixed the stuck odo with some new gears - will be a little near - minter when done - oh yea, and got some front fogs coming too

Not a BMW but worthy mentioning - followed 'Rene' the Tinman this morning. Nice seeing it in the metal. Reference picture:

No need to remove bumper. the black plastic surround will pop off when pulled in correct direction. Grab the black surround that wraps around the foglight on the inboard side of the light and pull on this both frontwards and sideways towards outboard of car. The flat bit of the surround with the alternator air intake should pop its two tabs out on the inboard edge and the plastic will come right off. Don't wrench at it, just give it a moderate controlled pull and you'll work it out from seeing what happens. Then a single bolt to remove light. Installation is a reversal of above procedure... Easy peasy... Good chance to give the area a good clean and even paint the black surround.

You should get a new high pressure line from BMW and any hydraulics shop can make a low pressure line for you. They degrade from the inside out so you shouldn't use old ones.

You're on the shore so try Bellars Motor Works or Burger Motor Works, even if just to ask advice. Or BM Workshop Grey Lynn. E90s are supposed to have the battery 'registered' to the car, not all places will do that.

you need to be able to compare apples with apples. you can buy a suit from around $200 up... the $200 halensteins job will be very average, buy an $800 Cambridge and have it altered, it's good, or go and get a made-to-measure (or better still, Bespoke), and you've a different experience. If the BMW batty is genuine aparrently they last a lo=oooooong time. You're paying retail, there's probably a full system test from the BMW dealer. The mid-ground might be reasonable quality, should be tested in-situ, charging system test, provided with a warranty. The cheap end will be possibly a lesser quality unit, perhaps bolted in, maybe they'll dispose of your old one. Maybe a lesser warranty, charging check if you're lucky. like the suit, you pays your money and makes yer choice. Jeez it's Auckland, you guys are always driving, yeah? Maybe the distance to JC makes the $600 option worthwhile. There's always the AA Battery Service, cheaper if you're a member. Not a forum sponsor though. HTH
