Yesterday was the last day of production for the High Feature Holden V6 and the first big step in the end of Holden production. As a brand Holden may be doomed especially if they continue with rebadged Korean sh*t boxes. The whole demise of the Aussie car industry is a bit sad as in the final years Holden with the VE/VF Commodore especially showed that they could make a decent car. I drove an SSV Redline Commodore recently and I have to say I was impressed, the very tasty LS3 V8 power was not the main thing that impressed me it was actually the chassis. This car drove well, corned well, gave decent steering feel and was a pleasure to drive enthusiastically. Having driven the XR6 Turbo I would say that is Australia's best engine ever and if that were in the VF Commodore Chassis it would be so much fun. In fact put that motor in GM's new Alpha chassis (Camaro and Cadillac) and it would probably be the best straight six engined car in the world. Very sad we are not getting any Alpha chassis cars in NZ as the Camaro seems to be dishing out a few black eyes to more expensive so called drivers cars. Anyway sad that it's all going to end next year but at least we have our Jap import BMW's to give as turbo 6 and V8 RWD fun for not too much money.

You are better to split your order into 2 so you dont pay gst, duties, and get it delayed at customs. Make sure both orders are under $400 nzd including shipping to avoid this.

I'm really liking this tint film. It's quite strange, outside it's really light & reflective and indoors it looks quite dark & opaque (both pics taken today): It's been a productive few weeks: As well as all the detailing & ceramic coatings I've added new spacers & tyres, brakes, service and changed the bootlid to give the big wing a rest and change it up a bit. All ready for summer!

1996 323i Coupe, Auto - 128,500km - $4500 Motorsports body kit Sport option seats Sport option steering wheel In above average condition for the age of the vehicle. Paint is in good order overall, nice vibrant red. Some chip here and there. Dent on rear right and there are a couple of dents on the tops of passenger and drivers door. Has had one owner since imported in 2006 for 10 years, the owner has left the country for work overseas & wont be coming back anymore. Couldn't find his service papers for such reasons but it has been looked after well over the years. Drives very nicely, no clunks or any such issues. Does have a minor shimmy at highway speeds, but I think this might be due to the tyres? Has had front lower control arm bushes replaced with powerflex bushes. Engine pulls well, recent oil change on 5w-40 Penrite. Transmission is smooth and doesn't have any jerks or slips. Has 225/50R16 Hancook Ventus II all round with 4-5mm tread remaining. Wof / Rego until May 2017 Firm on price, no swaps. Mike - 0223082594

Bathurst Lap Records Shane van Gisbergen, McLaren 650S GT3, 2:01.5670 (7 February 2016) David Reynolds, Holden VF Commodore Supercar, 2:06.2769 (9 October 2016) 5 seconds is quite the margin. That GT3 lap also happens to be the outright record at Bathurst.

Sad day indeed . Looks like I'm keeping my VZ HSV Avalanche wagon and V2 Monaro (manual!) and watch'em appreciate. Anyone interested in a E60 M5?

Does it only happen once warm? If so, warm you are describing sounds like a lock up shudder. I'd be taking it to an autotrans specialist and getting them to scan the transmission for faults.

I've had pretty good luck with Pelican Parts, autohausaz and YouShop. Just make sure your orders are broken down to be under 60 dollars owing in duties to avoid paying duties. I believe that ends up being around 225ish usd per shipment. You can use this before you order to verify http://www.whatsmyduty.org.nz/whats-my-duty

New brakes have arrived! I'm waiting on a second carrier so won't install these for a bit. One step closer to the perfect combination M3 haha 20161014_161840_HDR by Christian Taylor, on Flickr 20161014_161851_HDR by Christian Taylor, on Flickr
