I also use a number of US forums and these guys get talked about a lot, split into two distinct factions 1) these guys are complete rip off merchants and the scum of the earth pushing up prices for everyone or 2) it's a free market, if it works for them well so be it. There have been a number of clear cases where they have bought cars off eBay, Bring-a-Trailer or Craig'slist then given them a quick polish and a service and put them up for sale at much, much higher prices. You can argue about the ethics of this until the cows come home, if they can find a buyer then, well.. it works for them. From the size of their inventory and the average cost of their cars, they are either laundering drug money or know what they are doing. My personal dislike for these guys is that they bought the best E30 M3 in New Zealand and took it overseas, so I won't get to see it / stroke it in the flesh ever again. sniff! sniff!

Kia Ora!! Raj here from Auckland. I had no idea there was an online community for bimmer owners/enthusiasts in NZ (don't know where should I be hiding my face). Moved to NZ from India in 2012. Being an adventure and nature enthusiast, absolutely love it over here. Currently own a 2005 E90 320i, which I will be getting rid of soon (sadly) because I'll laying my hands on my new (NZ new) E60 525i (2009 model) later today. So excited !! Congrats Dan - it's a beaut! I actually quite like the wheels that are on it - but it's a personal preference thing. Agree some Style 37s would look nice. Look forward to seeing the car soon.

Luv the E34. Personally I've never been a fan of M-pars. I kinda like the wheels you've already got on it though as always we build our cars for ourselves. Yours is a stunning example. Well done.

I took it for a strop to Auckland with #1 son, filled a few days of the school holidays in. And settle in the new shocks and tyres. Photos shortly. It's a great distance car. On smooth seal, you can turn up and enjoy the hifi without road noise intrusion. luxury. It's confortable, minimises time in the opposite lane while overtaking, stops and handles pretty well. And for the first time I had the fuel economy readout in the 11l/100km range. Pretty good given I was enjoying the kickdown bark while overtaking. Oh, and while in Auckland I went and had a look at the drift series at Pukekohe. My first time seeing it live, and I wasn't impressed. A separate post on that. I also fitted some genuine BMW wiper blades while in the north. I was having a little trouble fitting the new Valeos. Then I had trouble with the BMW blades... Auckland City BMW service advisor kindly helped me out. I guess I wasn't savage enough with them! Today a package arrived, and I'm enjoying reading my way through the north american e60 sales brochure (bout 70 pages), luxuriating in that BMW marketing speak. all rights reserved. hosted here on Bimmersport.
