Yip at Gavin's. I didn't ask for a print out, but we actually made 375rwhp before dialling it back. I'm told his dyno often reads lower than others, but meh... a dyno is a TUNING TOOL, not a bragging tool... I'll take a video in the weekend of idle.

Hi folks First time BMW owner here from the Naki with a 2006 LCI E85 Z4 Roadster 3.0si. Loving it so far and looking forward to plenty of summer cruising with the top down. Hopefully will get to catch up with some of you in NP over the coming months. Cheers, Phillip

OK... I know I've put it up for sale a few times and changed my mind a few times. But I'm finally ready to do it. I don't even live in NZ anymore and my convertible needs are being done by my Porsche now. I want someone from HERE to buy it - I'll do a better price for a Bimmersport member. All details on trademe, photos are pretty representative of condition - except last time I washed it a bit of bloody clearcoat came off the bonnet. If I were to keep it (and not fully restore it) I'd just paint the front bodykit and bonnet. Free Carjam for you guys https://www.carjam.co.nz/report/?ref=6F779893 Trade me link https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1497339128 AND - unlike most cars registered in the 1990s - NZTA gave this an exemption for no highstop light. So it doesn't have that fugly boot (I have all the proper exemption letters for WOF time) Serviced by Gavin @ Hi Velocity My cell is +61 499 019 778 - I'm in NZ till the 29th.

So I've recently picked up a E46 330d to drive around the country over the summer. The car has a thorough service history from BMW, so I really wasn't expecting to do much - but the service book doesn't mention whether its had the swirl flaps removed. So I thought I better check by removing the manifold. Couple of hours later - heres what I've found : The swirl flaps are still there - 1 barely!!! The shaft had snapped, but the flap itself is still lodged in there - Very lucky!!! Given its only 1 more week til xmas, I really needed to get this sorted. So I spent the next day making swirl flap blanks. While I was at it, I gave the EGR a clean too! Got it all back together this afternoon and took it for spin. All is good Currently I'm getting around 8.7 L / 100 km, its quite a bit higher than my mates tuned 320d - he gets 900+ km in a tank. Does anyone know whether mines running normal? It sits in traffic most of the time... Andrew

This one here looks like it ticks most of your boxes: https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1496118660.htm Not NZ New, but in my experience UK imports are fairly honest. They go through a rigorous inspection process around potential rust issues as part of the compliance process .

Had a great time at Powercruise Taupo back in Nov, 100's of cars various types and having the opportunity to roll race down the straight was pretty cool. Spent most of the time hunting GTR's. Being first time on the track with the M3 meant i was also able to get a good feel for the car and it highlighted an issue with understeer, the 225's on the front aren't a cheap tyre but theres simply not enough grip, im going to have to sort that out. Had a ride in a series winning drift car too, that was quite the experience, thing was violent! Interesting event in your interested in cars of all types.

Welcome Phillip, great looking Z4. We really need to have another Naki meet up

I live in the US, just casually looking at their prices- they tend to be around $150-200k for a standard Z8, with the Alpina versions sometimes up to $300k...

Hey @obi_wan Thanks for searching first, it's actually pretty tricky to search on this forum given the search engine ignores anything with three characters or less (you know, like basically every model and chassis number). If it's dimable, you'll have a wheel below and probably to the right of your steering wheel if memory serves, it'll look like this The bulbs are meant to last forever, and are specific to BMW, you'll need to go to a proper BMW parts dealer to get them, or order online, mostly smaller lamps but a couple of bigger ones too in the centre, it's usually the bigger ones that blow. Replacing is pretty straightforwards, and if your miles are getting on, and it hasn't been done yet, not a silly time to look at replacing the odometer gears while it's out.

If you are using BMWFlash just remember the dme will take a maximum of roughly 30 flashes before it locks up and stops flashing. When MSSFlash was still around, till about two weeks ago, the tool used to be able to clear the flash counter again. But now it’s gone and no longer (thank goodness!! Can’t even count the number of times I’ve had to fix a dme because of that software) you are sh*t out of luck so to speak once you hit that flash counter.
