2 pointsIf we had insurance then car would be fixed and he would probably have a Baycorp notice. That's ok, his house is on my way home so I don't mind stopping off every other day to see how things are going

2 pointsUpdate time! Spent a bit of time the other day trimming & fitting the rear interior (carpets, seat base & panels). Starting to look normal again..! Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr I butchered the rear cards to make them fit past the cage, no other way unfortunately. Off to the trim repairer next to get this fixed up (it's a bit beyond my abilities). Boot carpet & trims fitted: Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Also the steering wheel turned up so I fitted it. Looks good, and all the buttons work a-ok! Test fit (ignore the airbag gap this is now sorted): Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr This was the problem: Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Glued the velvet side trims with ADOS contact adhesive, this has been annoying me for ages: Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr My Storm gearknob turned up too. It's so damn heavy!! Looks good in the darker finish imo, should suit the car. Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr I've also bought a whole lot of safety stuff in the past few weeks: Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Also ordered these from Allports, waiting shipment later this week: Passed homologation and got my logbook: Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

1 pointTitle says it all really, even just the glass, anyone know if the e30 ones fit (the glass) the internet has mixed views. Cheers! Matt

1 pointWhat a stunning car. I wonder how those little brakes will go with that heavy, powerful engine.
-
1 pointIf it looks good, it is good? No-one cares that it drives like sh*t with those stretched low profile tyres... Aside from that, a M57D30 with a 6-speed manual box should be good fun! (Being a diesel it doesn't need 6 speeds, of course, but that's another matter.) /grumpy

1 pointWhy not get some rims that fit, and then fit some tyres to the rims so they fit properly, too? Maybe I'm just getting old...

1 pointExactly why I've always held the motto of better being over insured than under.. even worth seeing a broker if your vehicle is worth it. And because you're insured from the moment you finalise it with your insurer Vs having actually made payments (obviously this is all accounted for if an incident occurs, but you're still covered) - I won't drive away from picking up a new car without insurance confirmed.. too many horror stories have me paranoid. Sorry to hear about all the stories above - such bullsh*t huh! I work for a law firm so I haven't had anyone attempt to pull anything on me yet when it comes to accidents *knock on wood*!

1 pointYep that is what we are going to do. Even offered to pay half of the excess to avoid any hassle but not interested in that either

1 pointHmm yeah looks like it. Seems halfway between M3 and 335i msport toe specs. I have an older alignment sheet showing the 335i specs are 1.9mm in the rear and 1.5mm in the front. BMWorkshop Botany arranged this when they were doing my service and installing the arms. Basically told them I want something that's good for the odd thrash and track session, but it spends a lot of it's time commuting on the motorway so take that into account. That's the result.

1 pointEarly on in my career, in the 90's I had some responsibility in the creation of the NHI. That was meant to fix so many of these problems and 20 years on? Not so much. But, individual exceptions aside, we are blessed with our public health system. In comparison to many other developed countries, even OECD countries we do pretty well. Could it be better? Of course.

1 pointDay 26: Tried light painting for the first time a couple nights back. I'm sure theres a lot wrong with these photos, but for now I'm quite pleased with them! Didn't bother blanking out the mini's plates as the owner quite likes people knowing his car Perhaps next bimmersport meet I'll have a play with other cars!

0 pointsWasn't today, early Saturday evening I unwillingly took mine on a short offroad expedition...... Think it needs a bit of a wash and a polish to clean it back up ???
