Thought I'd share... panel work done and side panels repainted (matched to the faded platinum green from the roof). It's lighter than the factory colour, but I prefer it. The 'driver' is my 91 year old Mum who brought the car over from the UK with Dad in the mid-80s. It was passed to me a few years back. Still a few niggles. Sunroof doesn't run smoothly. Same with wipers. Hoses probably need replacing. Otherwise pretty good.

I miss the highways in the US so much. Smooth. Straight. Quiet. Drove from DC to Austin, TX (25hrs of driving) in my E46 and I only stopped because I got bored at night time. I just drove to Wellington from Masterton and back and I feel beat. See below. Forced to go through small towns x 3 at 50kph Chip seal nearly the entire way which is brutal noisy Followed a truck and a horse float up the Remutaka's at 20-30kph Windy shitty blind corners Single lane the entire way to Wellington means passing is a waste of time The motorway in Wellington has f**king traffic lights in the middle of it. In multiple locations....Utter madness.

Can’t decide which I hate worse, the crystal aftermarket headlights or the M3 badge on the side skirts.. Easy enough to remove and replace but that’s a pretty high price

Been a while but still been chipping away at trying to get it to final sand down. Started sanding down the guide coat that was on it 2 weeks ago and found these hidden Christmas presents no one in the house wants to own up to cause it was flat when I left it !! Lucky only a few hours to get that flat, bizzare no one knows how it happened, looks like a chair leg connected or something. A bit of force required to make those dents. Anyway went over the kinks and lines with fresh eyes over the holidays and realised those lines were definitely far from being sharp. Technique has come a long way, amazing to learn that with the wrong technique you'll get no where on a complex contour which this e46 has taken me on crash course for. Learning to spend more time using lighting and shadows to guide the final Sanding Ontop of Long primer runs with guide coats Got a good break of decent weather this week so provided I can sign off on those quarter panels I'll be doing full car sand down and diaaseably for paint this week.

Next week sees a general return to work, assuming doc says that's OK when I see her. Sadly the thought of that is not helping at all, and it'll be difficult to resolve the feelings engendered during the few days ahead. Need to work. Need income! But my health and wellbeing is uppermost in my mind.

Yeah I would never fly that distance in the US. We had a rule that if the drive was less than 8 hours on a normal weekend we would drive. DC to Detroit takes the same amount of time as Auckland to Wellington. But is 230kms further. And that is on roads that are not that straight and through the Blue ridge mountains.

"Note, 96,000 miles " So, why not just convert that to KM so your listing doesn't state "96000km".... 🤦‍♂️

I drove SH2 to Napier, and SH50/SH2 back to Welly after xmas. Apalled at the state of the roads, I've not seem them in that state of disrepair in more than 30 years! Crumbling small quick-and-dirty patches, breaking surfaces, drops/compactions... I guess the govt is spending elsewhere?

What bloody stupid photos- when will people learn that advert photos need to be neutral, representative and well lit? Childish shots along the car's flanks never scream 'well priced deal'.

Done and done. Fantastic thanks Andrew- tanks tested perfectly.

Given the company’s history that’s hardly surprising. The only two airbox I would ever recommend are OE and Karbonius nothing else.
