My vote is for the X5 grille with black surrounds, but I'm not in the market for one so no one cares what I think !!

Finally gave it a wash last night, much needed after the trip back from Christchurch. Grabbed a few 'decent' photos. I think these are factory tinted taillights?

Like pretty much everywhere else the design of the iX is polarising in the NZ market with most of the attention being on the grille. So today I did a wee but of photoshop work taking the current x5 grille to the iX and also creating one sans any grille at all. I dislike both of those options but figured it would make for good conversation.

Hi guys, bit of a long shot but does anyone know the whereabouts of a blue 2.2 Z3 Manual with the plate AEY825? NZ New 2001 BMW Z3 2.2 Manual in Topas Blau. Was my Grandfather's car which he purchased in ~2002 when it was roughly 12-18 months old. Was an ex-rental car apparently. Very distinctive spec with the blue interior and wood grain (is quite marmite but period correct I guess). Pretty sure it was sold to someone in Dunedin in roughly 2009. Would like to buy it back one day if the opportunity ever arose. On the hunt for a manual Z3 but thought it would be cool to try get this one.

I can swear by AA, have claimed with them a few times over the years, culminating with a writeoff. they are good with service imho. though may be worth getting it through your NZ bank. There's only really 2 underwriters in NZ.

I've had most of my cars through Tower until the BMW, they wouldn't insure my Fiancee' as she's under 25. Not even at a higher rate, just out right wouldn't. So I have the BMW through State. Previously had my RS Legacy Rally car through Ando I think it was. That was my most difficult car to insure for sure. Otherwise had a few through Classic Cover, and NAC. I've never had to make a claim with any of them, so don't have any experience there.

Everything with AMI, never had an issue at all (even with agreed value insurance etc on modified cars), good rates as well.

There’s a fair bit of technology behind the grille area, and size wise its about 1/3 narrower than the x5 grille while being only around 1/3 taller.

It is a beaver isn’t it, I just don’t think a ‘kidney’ grill can translate to something that large. Unlike a Audi or Lexus, the kidneys are all out of proportion. Does the iX need a large grill, I’d say yes for styling, just the kidneys are a struggle on this and most new BMWs unfortunately

That interior is so early 2000's. I love it! I hope you can track it down!
