Couple more pics. It's rubbing slightly in the rear under load so need to firm up the shocks a few clicks and see if that helps. Also developed a bit of a knock under load, could be a diff mount or driveshaft or something but I'll take a look when I can. Pretty happy with how this one has turned out so far. The CSL intake makes a fair amount of difference now its tuned properly - delivery is much smoother and the noise is outrageous. I'll likely still keep chipping away at little things here and there, but happy with the overall outcome.

Most mhw lights are selling for £1200-£1500 so pricing is about right. Not sure anyone in this part of the world is game for them

Its ridiculous. Someone was wanting 2k for a dirty clapped out getrag 260 the other week too. I'm done with cars as hobbies. Now they are just a tool to get me from A to B.

At least those parts are rare and desirable items which justify a reasonably high price. Listings for factory E30 springs for hundreds of dollars are the ones that get me.

Thanks @Braydon yeah i'm pretty please on how they turned out. Hopefully be a master at them by the time i do the v12 ones. The most satisfying part is i didnt have to fork over 3-5k for someone else to make them.

I've been a regular client of theirs for more than fifteen years. I think Pierberg might be the OE for your N-series? HTH

Entering *and* exiting my driveway is now an exercise in extreme caution and full lock grrrrr. It looks good and drives good but simply not practical - flashback to creeping sideways over speed bumps in the E46. Im not dying to do this all again but think I’ll be installing thicker spring shims / pads front in rear in the near future (have 3mm and 9mm options in front and all kinds of combinations for rear pads) - I’m sure it will be a much quicker job 2nd time around. Will do brake pads / handbrake adjustment at same time so it feels less of a waste of time.

OK, so Biarritz is all back on the road. Latest round of work included; Finishing timing chains, guides, tensioners, vanos seals. Intake manifold gaskets and all gaskets and O rings associated with getting into the engine... Then spark plugs, fuel filter, transmission mounts, and finally out the back for lower suspension ball joints and integral links. The engine is a bit cruddy internally so a few short interval oil changes coming up after some decent highway driving. Also the repaired and repainted front bumper (with new knockoff East European pork chops) has been fitted and it's quite an improvement on the old nose. M5 style grid. I'm pleased the colour match came up OK. My new spray gun worked great so gives me confidence to try more paint stuff... It's fair to say I'm liking this car - must be the colour...
