Picked up a set of gen ACS type 2's, fitted them with Firestones and I must say I am impressed with them for the money. Loving the old school look, I know it's only a 528 but I love this car, it got me into Bimmers and wrenching myself It's just such a nice cruiser If anyone is after a set of banged up style 65 reps let me know.

Not mine but a clients. Did some work on the brakes, had a massive imbalance and efficiency issue in the rear. Sorted that as well as properly adjusted the rear handbrake shoes and handbrake travel as well as changed the front control arms as the balljoints were completely pooked. First FL vert I've ever seen with factory heated seats, heated mirrors and heated windscreen washer nozzles.

I had just gotten out of my Touring when this guy pulls up next to me in his convertible. The conversation went: Him: "I like your car." Me: "I like your car too."

Looked at it as I undertook cutting the grass. Upgraded the rear sway bar to a 19mm Ultra racing one on Friday and it's made a massive difference. The old one looked very tiny in comparison. So I now have the full Ultra Racing front and rear sway bars plus the strut brace up front.

E46 M will always be my first love. I drove it to work this morning and it's just so good, I was smiling the whole way. But I've really grown to love the compact. It's perfect for it's purpose which is a practical daily driver that's still fun to drive, it's even pretty decent on gas compared to the M3. There was nothing wrong with the 130i, I just never really gelled with it. Drove good, sounded good. But I didn't love the way it looked and it didn't make me excited when I looked at it like the other 2.

Well I haven't had many updates the last couple of months - it's mostly been a case of hurry up and wait on parts deliveries, I've now received most of the parts I ordered back in June both for the rear shock mount brace install, as well as the OE parts needed for the CSL airbox install (just waiting on the factory to do a run of CSL dipstick tubes). A few weeks ago I also ordered a set of A/B/C pillar trims. I had been planning to go down the route of covering with BM-3109, but then discovered that the plastic mounting points on my current trims are damaged, and that I was therefore going to have to fork out for a new set. I ordered those a few weeks ago and looks as though they should arrive at the end of the year or so. Last Friday I also dropped off the RSM brace to Arkro Powercoating (excellent - highly recommend) in Porana Rd , and yesterday it was ready to be picked up. I opted for matte black, as it matches the OE powder coat finish on items like the front strut bar, etc. My goal with this install is to make it look as OE as possible.

It is manual. But also the seller isn't claiming it's a genuine mtech 1. Just that it has the kit.

Did some late night Italian tuning - quick run out to Arrowtown and back. Got absolutely DUSTED on the Dalefield back roads by an Alfa GTV. The 1.6 was well above 7K and spitting flames as it rocketed past me 😁 God they're an achingly gorgeous car. 1299691.jpg

That car was quite interesting in that from what I heard, Guido from BM workshop or Jerry Clayton sent the whole engine block to Dinan in California to get it modified. Think it had shrick cams, and the body kit was by Schnitzer. One of the stumbling blocks for me personally was the lack of paperwork on what was actually done with the modifications. Did Mark ever find any of that. Guido didn’t have anything either. On a personal level, Dinan does some great stuff. I live in the SF Bay Area now and have just bought a E39 M5 Dinan 1. Oh my god, what an amazing car! Dinan do it very well and are revered very highly here.
