Only person I'd ever use for my diff is Kayne Barrie in Silverdale, he is the man for Diffs and gearboxes. His ph is 09 441 4994, real nice guy who knows what he does.

straight swap, easy as. 3.25 will be a cruiser, won't have great acceleration.

It is normal Will, comes thru the breather at the front of the rocker cover, can be a sign of worn valve guides, or even rings, allowing some pressure into the rocker cover. The sweeper at Hampton is really hard on the M30 as well, I had to take the rocker breather to a catch can on the race car, the first time at the track with this motor I filled the pistons with oil from the breather, caused predetonation and seized the rings in the grooves of the pistons, stopping the compression. Put out an impressive smoke screen for half a lap tho. Wouldn't be too concerned If I was you, you can take the breather to a catch can and block the hole where it connects to the intake If you want, removes the oil problem. I think the breather goes back into the intake as an emissions thing, allows it to burn the unburnt fumes from the engine.

Nice, now get it finished and come join us at the races.

Can help if you're serious?

Set of jono's alpina reps with new rubber, 16x7 see here. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=37062

If they are both 260's the internals should be interchangeable, same as all the 240's. Even the 260 E30 box is the same internals I'm told.

Happy Birthday Andrew.

This is a motorsport thing Ashkan, but I'd suggest a lip at least myself.
-
Gavin did mine, took what he needed from the new chip and built a new one for mine, got around 10 rwhp improvement, took the M30 3.5 to 209 rwhp.

How's it run when it's going, and has it been like this since you did the cambelt, or a new problem?
-
That's the most unlikely I would guess, take the oil cap off and check the cam's turning when you crank the engine. The other obvious thing could be the dissy cap or rotor, you say you did the leads, did the cap and rotor get done too?
-
Spark, fuel, air, compression and timing are the 5 things needed. As above, check fuel delivery at fuel rail, and spark at plug, if you have both those, you can check compression and timing, also check the cam belt isn't stripped or broke?
-
Hey Andy, did you lock the cams, and which ecu did you use, just out of interest?
-
I have a big shed.
-
Is this from Welly? I'd confirm the vanos removal first, and have the cams been locked securely. All the plugs etc are easy, what's the engine loom from, and what ecu is it using? First pic is aftermarket water which will need to be plumbed in to a pipe with a fitting somewhere, other plugs too hard to see. Second pic is temp sensor, would guess 3rd pic is crank sensor, black wire is starter, think 4th pic are knock sensors, 5th pic 1 is brake booster, 2 is icv return, others are hard to see from pics, and not sure they belong where they are. Would suggest you pm me and come see my car, it's all done, using the same setup by the looks, you need to know what you're doing, or at least know someone who does.

Pity, should be a good day. Stop and say gidday.
-
You coming out on Sunday to Puke?
-
Basically yes, you need to entrap the fuel and feed it outside the car, someone I won't name used a cake tin and braised a pipe on it exiting thru the floor, still racing last I saw.
-
legally you need to get it degassed by a specialist I believe.
-
You need a full collar venting thru the floor then.
-
Crap fitting it was. Is your filler going to be outside the car now? If so you don't need a collar with a vent for spillage, that's only if the filler is enclosed, or spill can enter the car.

POP refers to the new gen of instant on radar detectors used by the police. They give you very little if any warning as they start within 1/10 of a sec. Google it, quite interesting. Q: What is POP Radar? A: POP Radar is the newest radar police are using to detect your speed. POP radar consists of a lightning-quick radar burst that can go from “off†to “on†detect you speed then back “off†again in less than one tenth of a second. Although it is still K band radar, it is so fast it is undetectable by most detectors.
