  1. I use a grinder with a fine blade or a hacksaw to cut a small slot in the head, and then screw it out with a screwdriver, not usually very tight. Also makes it easy to screw back in.

  10. Cheers Josh, blew a top hose, all sorted now thanks, sat there for almost 40 mins before the highway boys turned up, and only had 2 people ask if I was ok, both young and dark, appreciated that.Stevo sorted me out with danco tape and a tow part way.

    My M30 535 has Miller conversion, mild regrind on cam and remap and puts out 155kw at the wheels, not hard to do.

  19. Yes, manual rack is available, a standard item on lower spec'd E30s. As far as full roll cage goes, read this. MotorSport New Zealand (MSNZ) in conjunction with NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) and the Low Volume Vehicle Technical Association (LVVTA) has formulated alternative standards for vehicles permanently modified for motor sport competitions which require to be road registered and used on public roads.The MotorSport/LVV Authority Card is proof that a vehicle modified for motor sport purposes complies with accepted alternative standards (to those of the original manufacturer). The Authority Card details the owner, the vehicle and the applicable approved modifications. The Authority Card is recognised in the NZTA Rules and the LVV Code and is required in order to obtain a Warrant of Fitness.When an owner of a competition vehicle wishes to use it on a public road it is a legal requirement to have an Authority Card issued by MotorSport NZ, if any of the following items are fitted / modified: Competition safety harness Roll protection that extends forward of the front seating positions and/or modifications that effect the interior impact rule Removal of an airbag SRS system Braided hydraulic brake lines Hydraulic handbrake Plastic glazing. Applying for an Authority CardYou must hold a current MotorSport NZ competition licence and the vehicle must have a competition logbook.Application is made by completingform T007.Renewing an Authority CardWhen an Authority Card expires and the vehicle it relates to is required to continue to be used on public roads, renewal of the card is required – this is irrespective of the current validity of the vehicles Warrant of Fitness.Application is made by completing form T008.
