Happy Birthday Heath
-
I've been driving mine for the last 6 months as my daily and thoroughly enjoy it. It's big and safe and easy to drive in traffic, handles just fine. I get 12.3 lts per 100 k's and have been with a mix of highway and city, I'm ok with this. You will need to allow for the headgasket before 300k's unless it's been done, they go at the back of number 6, hottest part of the motor, but seem to just blow, I've done 3 now on different cars and haven't had a cracked head yet. I got the full suspension arm and bush kit from Groton's in the States, with the dollar where it is it will be around $500 landed, I'd guess for the full kit, not hard to fit most of it yourself. All I'd say is, go for it.

Just buy them both and swap the interiors.

IMHO, I think you'll find it's the fuel pump at the tank, I've had the same symptoms before, and solved it by squeezing the 2 pins on the plug at the pump at the tank. They get loose, and lose contact at times causing the car to stop and randomly start. Remove the cover under the back seat and wiggle the black 2 pin plug to the tank, if it's at all loose, pull it off and with a pair of pliars squeeze the sockets a little till it's tight when you refit it. Works every time, and good luck.

If yours is a std 325 the 240 will be fine, but make sure it's the 320 one, the 318 won't fit. Try to find a newer one with the ali arm on the back, not the earlier pressed steel plate. You need Box and bracket, gearshift and linkage, driveshaft, brake and clutch pedals and bolt, clutch master cylinder and line, reservoir, and slave cylinder.

Ireland Engineering Braided Brake Lines
Silver Fox replied to APT's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
They don't have the relevant standard on them as far as I can see. If they aren't stamped, or have the right tag, they don't comply as far as I know. Good price tho. -

It is most likely sticky hydraulic lifters, you can get additives to help clear them, but imho, I'd be getting the rocker cover off and having a good look. What can happen is for the oiling bar to get clogged and not oil the cam properly causing wear on the cam. Needs a look I'd say.

Thanks Guys, had a great day and looking forward to a great weekend.

Wiki Steve, In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wide dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight

Also check the connection at the fuel pump. I've had a few now where I've had to squeeze the plugs to get good contact again, they work lose and loose contact.
