  1. I would suggest you book it in with BM Workshop and get a smoke test rather than replacing parts with no result. 95% of any job is accurately diagnosing the fault first. You'll need to book it in soon, they are booked up for 2-3 weeks ATM. Check with Ross or Graham (09) 2716636. I must get a smoke tester

  5. One is seized... the one directly under the screen and water channel. Your picture is wrong... the "E" box is on the other side in this vehicle
  6. I'm trying to help out a very good customer of mine who wants to dispose of his 528i. It has an intermittent fault which we are assuming is caused by flooding of the "E" box. It still drives fine and gives a starting issue which scans as a faulty air mass sensor. Another repairer has fitted a brand new sensor and the fault still occurs. It's been smoke tested, manifold vacuum test, fuel pressure, timing chain check etc etc by the other repairer. The "E" box lid would need to be damaged to get it open which would require another "E" box so that another DME can be tried to sort the problem. The customer want's to stop spending on the vehicle and move on. It's real tidy done 180139Km. Rego till 10/16. WOF 0816 What's it worth ?? Anyone interested ??
  7. That is the correct way every time you build an engine and also lubricate the oil pressure relief valve properly if there is going to be a time delay before running up the engine
  8. I agree. I'd also try priming the oil filter remote as well before removing the sump
  9. What are you needing the radiator for ?.... a daily or a race car ??
  10. Have you got the broken piece out yet ??
  11. You need that special bolt
  12. I can do a brand new Behr for $335 + gst
  13. Try Joe @ Eurosurgeon in Penrose
  14. I think you may have to change that title
  15. The bolt appears to have been broken off inside the crank---------throw away motor
  16. You have a bit of a wobble going on with the front crank pulley's. Check and see if all 6 bolts that hold them on to the crank flange are there, and tight. Also do what Jono just suggested and check for play and roughness in the water pump bearing
  17. Welcome to the forum Avesh... when would you like to book in to see where the oil and coolant leaks are coming from ?
  18. I have no problem with the repairers I use because we communicate and know what can & can't be repaired. Some units can be repaired, some can't. Some have been played with by morons and can't be re done. The repairer also needs correct info on the fault codes so he can confirm the fault is actually in the control unit and not else where.. collectively we work together
