  1. I'm using a E36 328 sway bar on mine James
  2. Only 4 cylinder M42/44 with getrag 250g out of an E36. The 250g was used by most of the 320's 6's and not 323,325 0r 328's is how I read it and how I did it with no mods or lining up issues. The discussion could go on and on.... but I DID IT.... see my thread or come and have a look, take photos, have a chat
  3. Thanks Andy.... yes we are pleased with the result. It's been needing an upgrade for years to become user freindly
  4. If you look at page 3... the gearbox and linkages are all attached as it came out of the 318 when I purchased the conversion from Ray the only thing that changed was all new bushes and seals. Its all 4 cylinder gear. And it was taken off a M42/44
  5. It's all here http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/20977-e36-m50m52-manual-conversion/
  6. I did not have to do this... I used the 318 I linkages that came with the 250G box from HellBM with no modifications needed
  7. I used a getrag 250g of a E36 318 M42/M44 motor. The driveshaft was only different because it was previously auto. You only need to change the front part of the driveshaft. There was no need to change/adjust or modify linkages or gearbox mounts

    Quick rant thread.

I bet that hurt Allan.... I do that too occasionally... the wife's allergic... crayfish or crab could kill her
  9. This picture shows the different heights of the carriers..... the 2 on the right. You probably need the longer of the two. If you lengthen the pushrod the arm will start touching the pressure plate after a short period of time because the fork angles are wrong. If you push the clutch slave cylinder in and measure the protrusion of the push rod from the mounting face of the cylinder. This distance should be about 4-5mm greater from the mounting face of the bell housing and the ball socket in the clutch fork when the fork is gently pushed against the pressure plate fingers.
