Some of you may have seen the photos from the recent Christchurch meet and unfortunately I couldn't get it ready the way I would have liked in time. For those you didn't, Atta was kind enough to sell me his precious Hartge wheels which I know he regretted instantly. From the moment I lined them up, I knew I had to have them. Cash was exchanged, tears where shed, and then they were in the back of the wagon on the way to my place. First thing was to strip the monster truck tyres off them and fit something smaller. Yep, 235/70/18?? A few tweaks and had the front sort out really quickly Since then I've balance out the height so its even on both sides, give or take a mm, so now I'm happy with the height (I think). It's ready for a cert now so will organise that in next week so. Pics you say? The ground isn't very flat outside which doesn't quite do the height justice. After the cert the wheels will come off for a refurb. I've located some centre caps as well but they are not genuine, just some that have been machined up

Airport is out west Sadly it is illegal. The car is on the road so therefore should have all the bits and pieces to say it is allowed on there. Pics of project??

I'm fairly sure that this is owned by the BMW Club Chairman here in Christchurch. He has an amazing list of machiney and used to see his e28 m5 all the time.

On the touring, evened up the rear height so now sits level and the rears fit without rubbage. Just waiting for a new battery now to take it for a test ride.

My Dad has a Harrier and I hate it with passion. I guess I'm not looking for an SUV as such, but they are becoming affordable to buy. I'm just wary that previous owners may have thought the same but can't afford to maintain them.

Numbers on the odo doesn't bother me. The X5 is a bit of an unknown for me so would obviously like something thats been kept for and what to keep an eye on. I'm certainly in no rush. Now don't get too carried away. I'm looking for something as a weekend warrior and occansional daliy as the girlfriend hates the touring now that its on coilovers. I don't blame her with the state of the streets around home.
