Finally convinced the mrs to sell the Alfa and get BMW. She has settled on a motorsport 1 series. Not fussed about engine size or transmission but must have low kms and cant be 'boring grey'. Budget of up to 18k. Seen pretty much everything on trademe but just seeing if there is anything else out there we are missing.

The closed some but not enough, soon enough IMO. Funnily enough, did not see a single cop car on the road. Would have thought they would have been out enforcing safe driving.

Lot of the flooding happened on govt reclaimed land so just keep an eye out for the 'told you we should take it'. Somehow my place end up on an island of sorts with all the roads around my street 3inchs under. The biggest problem I found was actually people driving like it was a sunny day sending waves up peoples driveways and over cars.

If internet is critical for your business, then would it not make sense to pay for a guaranteed speed? In my line of work I see it all to often. A big corporate has problems because they rely on a 'basic' service with no back up and then complain that they can't do anything when said basic service goes down.

Last year i was in a simular position, e39 or e46 and went with 330. I found the e39 a bit to big for what I wanted and got a sweet price on the e46. I think theres more aftermarket support in NZ for the e46 but could be wrong.

Rangiora still doesnt have any traffic lights, well not last I was there. Thought it would be better than 12 but depends how often they are in Christchurch and sit in traffic.

Most plans, post and prepaid, have unlimited text messages and with apps like Viber and Whatsup, its a bit of a non issue

Interesting. We have similar issue with bugs and it is the birds making a mess of the bark all over our path. No idea how to fix it though sorry. Our bark is just the stuff from Bunnings

Drop it on some coilovers and buy those staggered 18inch Style 5's = perfect
