Looking good Glenn.

HB Brian, have a great day.

I know were always removing photos for being too large, but that taking it to another extreme ! Good price, but how is it a genuine motorsport? As far as I know the manuals are just a 540i/6. They arent motorsports.

I would still love to own this car, but sadly I just dont have the cash or the space to put a car which would probably only get driven a couple of times a month

Gavin at EuroItalian one of our forum sponsors. Delivered to your door next day for half the price BMW want for them.

Just back from the game I have no voice left at all. Not quite the heights of being at Old Trafford watching Arsenal win the league but an incredible atmosphere for the entire 90 mins. NZ football is going to rock for the next 12 months and rugby wont know whats hit it !!!!!

Front lip arrived yesterday so it was painted and stuck on today I love it, shame about the rust on the valance now. Can someone suggest some 'at home' solutions to getting it sorted out? Can I just grind it off, treat it and paint it? Otherwise I might need to get it done professionally, especially as my can of sterlingsilver has just run out Ive done clear fronts and sides (and 15" weaves) since the last photos, so all I have left to do is sort out the rust, repaint the odd panel but first Ill drop it a little and get a euro plate. Anyway photos....

Guys, just stop to have a think about what your posting eh. Im sure insurance assessors have seen 'swapped' wheels etc a million times when assessing a car and it could be detrimental to any claim if Ian is seen to be trying to put one over on them.

An e32 740 would be a great car, not sure how many of them are about but that would be my choice. In Lach Silver with a set of 17' Alpinas, clear lights and a very slight drop. Lovely. If you stretch closer to 8k I dont see why you couldnt get a well looked after e38 too. Lots of car for the money if you wait and get a well spec'd one.

is front lip too !

Ive been on both sides of the fence. I had some stupidly low offers when selling cars but always got my price in the end and it would probably make you cry if I told you what I paid for the 'is'. Its all part and parcel of selling and buying a car, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

^^^^ It was probably in relation to how many times the OP's m325 has been for sale over the years

Bimmersport on the other hand has everything you need.... e39 v8 buyers guide

Right now thats sorted.....back on topic people. Oli asked for photos of e30s and their suspension not a discussion on what people have gotten away with the last couple of years. No photo, no post !

Number 1: Is there anyone who doesnt yet know about resizing their photos before posting them up ? Number 2: Forum Rule #9: Profanity - Please remember this is an all age Forum. There is NO reason to use Foul Language. Repetitive swearing will result in a warning followed by your user account being suspended. Now Im no prude and amongst certain kinds of people I will use more than my fair share, but Ive noticed it becoming more and more prevalent on here recently. We all have different ideas on what we consider acceptable but Im pretty sure we all know whats acceptable generally. I obviously spend a fair time on here most days and my kids like to check out photos of the cars etc, but one thing I dont want them reading is foul language, so can we please try to make an effort to cut it out. As you were.

Ive always thought it was due to the extra weight of the 6-cyl, but in the back of my mind is the 45mm strut of the 4-cyl vs 51mm strut in the 6's. So is it just because of the weight difference....and with my 'is' having the 51mm struts I still need 4-cyl springs if I want to lower it ?
-
Wow, looking forward to getting hold of this

The lip will be here tomorrow Pray for some decent weather over the weekend so I can paint it.

We dont need to trawl all over this one again do we lads ?

Seriously Shady, have a look at the parts you think are worth anything and then have a look at how many people are selling those parts already on TM. But more importantly check how long they have been for sale for. I dont think there is a single panel, interior piece etc I couldnt get for $40 or less in the current market. That means you have to take at least 8 items off the car and get full price for each item just to make your money back.

It was the AUX/CD that started me off, so perhaps you wont have anything.
-
You got it. In the middle photo above, Im holding the cd stacker cable on the left, but in the middle of the picture there is a grey cable taped to two black ones. At the end I saw it was taped over and assumed it was for something else (there were cables coming out the other side). But pulling the tape back showed it had just been taped over.Im wondering if all NZ new cars of that age had the Aux input aswell.
-
Beauty, thanks fellas
-
Yes Paul, you just see AUX on the display. I dont mind that at all with having the ipod in the car to do the rest. I just need to work out the best way to power it only when the ignition is on and work out some sort of stealth install which means its still easily available to control.
