  1. Am I missing something here, or have you just not read the whole thread ?
  2. IMO the best bang for your buck would be clear fronts and sides, all red rears, a subtle drop on some lower springs and different set of wheels to what youve got. A set of 14' weaves would do the job nicely. So all up thats not much more than 6-700 and it will make a huge difference without breaking your bank. If youve got another project save the big bucks for that instead but I can understand you wanting to tidy this one up a little.
  3. I learnt a long time ago to never under-estimate Ray and his Aladdin's cave.
  4. The OBC should tell you whether it needs an inspection I or II and if the clock is showing it will need a coolant flush aswell. Then let the manual tell you whats needed depending on the inspection required. Vijay will know whats needed anyway.
  5. Yes they will, they will just need hubcentric rings thats all.
  6. Another vote for Handbrake. Very simple to use although you'll have to ask Grant what the output was like !
  7. Can any of our sponsors/parts people get me an M44 chain tensioner to replace my M42 version ? Ive just done a service on the car and its sounding very sweet right now, but I fancy doing this swap while Im at it. Let me know.
  8. As far as Im aware (and Im more than happy to be proven wrong) Alpina did stripe kits in gold, silver and blue/green. No black, no grey, no british racing green. Nath, jump onto The Alpina Register and take a look through the photo's. Im sure there will be plenty of green cars with gold stripes
  9. The colour is fantastic Kerry.
  10. Nath, Ive not heard anything from my bloke with the stripes and his trademe account has been closed
  11. Serious questions can go to the auction people. Nathan, you need to go sit in the corner
  12. From what youve described I would say your cats are blocked, but thats before reading your post saying the mechanic has found other issues. I had exactly the same symptoms in my 740, choked engine, no power over 3500 revs, etc. When it happened to mine we got it up on a ramp and could see the exhaust was white hot where it was clogged up. The exhaust gases couldnt get through and they just choked the engine completely. You have enough power in that car to blow away pretty much everything else on the road and the torque available going up hill at that speed shouldve been immense. Unless your blowing cars into the weeds now, Id still be checking those cats.
  13. Shamelessly nicked from m42club.com.... Start by removing the rear seat - pull up to remove the bench part from its clips: Next, undo the two 10mm bolts on either side of the bottom of the back of the seat: Now remove the side trim panel by gently prying it out with a screwdriver where the green clips are: Unscrew and remove the coathook (phillips head screw) at the top, the seatbelt bolt (17mm hex bolt) in the middle, then remove the plastic cover that conceals the bottom window bolt at the bottom of the c-pillar. Unscrew the two 8mm nuts that hold on the window -- one behind the coathook and the other behind the plastic cover at the bottom. Remove the old window.
  14. Thats a little unfair seeing what it came from the factory with !

  17. As I was telling the boys last night, I still miss mine and would have no hesitation owning an e32 750il again. Not often you see the drop down shelves in the e32 Marty, they are a good score.
