Define 'acceptable' though Paul Acceptable in thats the price would want for the car, or is it acceptable in terms of a fair market value ? Id argue that none of the cars in this thread so far were acceptable in terms of fair market value and I think thats the whole point of the thread.

Im not sure I agree with you Cale, whats ambiguous about.... Possibly the definition of 'objectionable' but the rest of it is pretty clear cut as I read it. This is probably the most relevant point.... But past experience tells us the thread in question wouldnt have ended up being a discussion. They usually end up with people taking the pi$$ and winding other people up and the almost always end up in pointless arguments. Dont forget that most of the Admin and Mods have been around since BS was started and weve seen it all before. I cant believe Im going to say this, but I like it more with the polished rims in your sig. There is just something about white with polished rims. If your hooked on them though, and I do like Borbets, then do as Glenn has suggested and get the flat covers for the centre's.

Whilst in your in there with everything apart, make sure you take the time to clean the fans. I had so much dust in there it looked like it was a spongy filter thing !

Drive enclosures for laptop drives are only 30 bucks or so Simon. I use one as an external drive for work with a 120Gb laptop drive it in. Youre right Jon, My laptop gets thrown around the place, my external laptop drive in its enclosure is in the same bag and gets the same abuse. Its been a while since I froze the drive but the others have pointed out the pitfalls. Get all the air out of the bag, and try it for 2 hours first.

Dont laugh at me, but Ive done this twice and it worked a treat. You have two options. The first one is to just give it a gentle (but firm) tap on a hard surface. I didnt have the guts to do that..... The second is to put it into a ziplock bag and stick it in the freezer for 24 hours. I think it was 24, but you might want to search on the web just to be sure. It shrinks the internals and gets it all going again. I took mine out, stuck it between two chilly bin iceblocks and got two hours of use out of it before it died again. More than enough to get off the family photos and videos. Once done, you got and buy yourself one of those external, one press backup, drives and make sure you never have your photos on a single drive again !

Yes Im still looking for one and yes I still have cash in my pocket. Cant find one for love nor money at the moment so Im just going to keep asking here until I find one ! Its the only thing Im missing now, have the 15" weaves, clear fronts, clear sides on their way, tech2 wheel on its way, tech1 rear wing painted and on but it looks naked without the lip.

Whats with the 'bash the mods' attitude from everyone at the moment ?There are no separate rules for mods and yet people are getting all excited at the moment and having a go when they see an opportunity. For sale threads get locked when people fail to post either photos and a price or a trademe link. Do you have any idea how many people dont respond when their threads are locked or removed? Do you have any idea how many requests are sent via PM rather than on the forum ? Most of the 'public' complaints about size have been from you lot, not the mods. Photos are a particular problem at the moment and its been discussed several times already. Most requests are made via PM and sometimes misdemeanours slip through the net because either that person hasnt read their PM's yet or because the mods arent on here all day every day. Clearly this is a case where it just hasnt been noticed, not everyone views BS on dialup. Some of us have blinding fast connections and photo sizes just dont get noticed. So take pill and chill out and let us get on with running the place. If you dont like how something is being handled take it to Andrew, Ollie or Graham privately.

I use Paypal all the time, but to be honest you'll probably need everyone sign up regardless of what you use but surely everyone uses internet banking now ? You might have to take it on the chin and just have them deposit the money into your account. Can you open a seperate account online and only give out that number ? At least then you wont need to sort it from your day to day stuff.
