Thanks Josh - [your post bumped ahead of mine - was originally referring to Driftit - but thanks, I would have asked about your post too ]

[Mothers?] clay bar, (but get a clay mit - they look easier), Mothers Sealer & Glaze , Meguiars nxt 'wax' , Quik Detailer. (by hand). Claying is great. Wash > 'clay' > wax would give you a great finish an hour quicker.

One Series things to look for when purchasing

Facelift 1 series interiors are way better than early ones and in my opinion better than Golf. -

The wheel? It was just a SMG m3 wheel (2002). On that site the strips have like a ridge. This had exactly that.

There was a phoenix e46 M3 that had (what mus be ?) one of these wheels with a yellow centre stripe I looked at. If it was, it was decent quality. You could kind of tell it was aftermartket, but it was nice. Any one in NZ do this?

It was in the paper - 'someone' is shaping NZ traffic to Netflix.

Mint. Getting so rare now. I actually really like the wheel covers.

Are the headlamps smoked too? I have projectors and was thinking of going the other way back to 'fogs' haha... Are the brake duct easy to fit?

Trying to avoid the whole 'blacked out' look That 'black chrome' grill has grown on me. Initially I had that worry - it doesn't match all the other silver - but I Think I'll keep it in for the meantime. Has scared me off visual mods though.... Stock stock stock

It's my daily and I'm already trying to moderate my HP use! Pretty tame wish list; Lower Air box (for noise mainly) Wheels Sound system upgrade - just to "e87 Professional" level, but they pump! (I have H/K) Some kind of seat upgrade / non leather? Alcantara wheel CSL SMG flash .... maybe....
-
Tried this grill today. Not sure about it yet. It's 'shadow/black chrome' but looks quite bronze. Might lower it next (just on springs)....

I was real close to buying one. It's a different car in this colour IMO. The fact the new m4 comes in it will help it not date I reckon.

^ yeah, have a search but they are "lux" soap flakes and good for leather cleaning and will especially restore your steering wheel to be porous matte leather, rather than hard, shiny gross-ness.
-
Looks nice. Get the Lux flakes working on that wheel!

Yes there is one in town everyday. Not sure if its NZ new though. I also see another pretty often, think its a different one - female driver

What about the whole Toyota GT 86 theory. (Weak tyres to encourage lower speed 'fun') If I go for the stock set up will be 'benefiting' in that regard? Seems a slightly odd set up I have now with 235 & 275 /30 Sounds like you guys reckon 235/265 or stock? Cheers

I came across some details on 'upsizing' your tyres and was wondering about this. Stock is 225/40/19 is 255/35/19 but previous owner has installed 235 / 275. Is there much advantage to moving away from the stock sizing? Anyone have any experience / suggestions? My understanding of 'upsized' options: Cheers
