How cheap are they there? Edit; I meant in Japan. (UK prices are easy to see)
-
Didn't say that! lol. As above you need a specialist to inspect.

Just brought a 2006 BMW 325i M-Sport iDrive Model
m325i replied to Rellik's topic in General Discussion
Good pick. Pretty sure the 325i is one of the more reliable in the e90 lineup. As above, you can remove the Jap plate mount and put your plate directly on the bumper - Europlate looks especially good. Correct fluids as above is essential - use a BMW specialist mechanic. Do your research about an NZ Navigation upgrade, people have been unhappy with 'cheap' fixes. -

119,000km Some updates; (iphone pics sorry) 'CSL flash' [thanks Hell BM & Tom] Subframe reinforcement [service] DME has the following modifications: - CSL SMG related shifting maps - CSL SMG torque ramp up - Top speed limiter moved to 320km/h - CSL oil temp warm up lights (so the shift lights disappearing now corresponds with the oil temp warm up) - Sport mode memory - Dyno rev limiter 8000rpm StormMotorwerks SMG paddles iPhone dock, connected to Mediabridge. USB audio, charging and have have screen 'always on' - [thanks Deon] Pilot Super Sports Amber light conversion [rears to be fitted - I won a German amber LED auction, but he won't ship them!]

BMW did this when I took it in for a wheel alignment. But I received the letter this week saying 'we tracked down your details... bring it in for swap ASAP...' That's a NZ new car. So they are obviously chipping away at it.

^That's true I guess. Feels weird though when if you didn't drive it, it would go up in value. A 2011+ wouldn't.

I need this badly, but what are you meant to do with this car? Garage it and do 2000km per year? Or pop that 100,000km and just keep going.....? Then what happens to your $50k m3 that has 150km on the clock? Reckon you;d take a $20k bath? Or they are just going to keep going up?

I received mine, painted/finished. Works and looks good! will post pics soon... Thanks Deon

E90 is sedan, E91 wagon, E92 coupe, E93 cabrio My Dad has an e90 330i. My thoughts; Pretty sure the LCI has the updated iDrive with BT audio. Older one only has AUX audio and BT phone Hate to admit, but the walnut interior has grown on me. IRL it's not as bad as in pics. I would still consider a wrap though Factor in the iDrive navigation update if a jappa His isn't a MS, but has some good MS options - MS suspension, MS wheel, nice alloys, MS Seats. Seats are excellent. I would go non MS with those options - but MS is obvioulsy better (except that grey rear diffuser bit??!?) The colour and wheels make or break E9x IMO The 335i does have potential probs though... turbo/wastegate problem$ and HPFP. I know of 2 people who have had the waste-gate/turbo issues and it's not cheap, like $4k+ I would buy one though (preferable with a warranty).

Just like to bump this with my thanks to Tom via Ray @ Hell BM. My review; Awesome.

My mate had the 2.5TT one too, same colour. Then the electrics (dash?) died and it was pretty much a write off. Wasn't the TT one 'better' than the V8?

I'm by no way saying the fundamentals of the market are sound, but this has never worked. In fact it's the complete opposite. If you had bought at any point in history you are 'up'. The only people in my lifetime that have lost money on property are; bought at peak (07) and forced to sell in 08/09 bought at peak and forced to sell in 'Asian Crisis' '87 crash - forced to sell (due to borrowing too much and) Meth lab house Leakers Leasehold EDIT: Force mortgagee sales are not 'arms length market transactions' and should be discarded when looking at comparable sales evidence. Forced sale scenarios (such as marriage splits) generally would be included as evidence. But my point is that it is only if you HAD to sell at that point would you realise a loss. If you rode out those 'dips' you would have recovered, even if you bought at a previous peak. Not being able to service your mortgage, I think, is the individuals problem, and again, if they weren't forced to sell in the 'dip' they would also have positive equity. Meth Lab is 'bad luck' or poor management and not related to the market as such Leakers, dito Leasehold - I'm sorry but you have lost the second you bought

During the last year, sold prices in Camden were 8% up on the previous year and 24% up on 2010 when the average house price was £734,149. Zoopla says 13.7% yoy http://www.theguardian.com/money/2014/jul/02/leap-london-house-prices-unequalled-nationwide

I crack up at all these 'can't believe prices in AK / Ponsonby' comments you hear. Prices are like that as there are so many people willing and able to pay it. They see the value. Just because you don't doesn't mean it's wrong - that's the market for that product. Compared to outer suburbs, Ponsonby etc. has shorter & cheaper commute to city, cheaper taxis, walking distance to entertainment, far better entertainment. There are legit savings to living in central areas. A lot of people that come back from the UK want that pub lifestyle. They are willing to pay for the few areas in AK that offer that. (And are already used to paying $4000+ per month in rent). Housing inflation IMO is a problem rooted deep in the financial system we have (and post 2008 proved we are unwilling to change). In saying that Auckland is no worse than a lot of other cities. London is f**king mental right now. Sydney is sick also. Both those places have capital gains taxes and stamp duties! They other issue is building costs - you aren't getting much change out of $400k for a basic house - on a flat, easy access site. So straight away you are in for half a million in shitsville where land is only $100k. Opinions on value aside - you can't deny history - prices have always gone up and unless you made a mistake or were forced to sell in a 'dip' everyone is 'up'. My whol adult life there has been haters saying 'crash coming don't buy' - while I agree with some of their logic, if I'd bought as much as I could at ANY point in the past, I'd be rich. /Registered Valuer PS - Golden Dawn music is good!

Also - how does the charger plug stay seated? (i.e. if you push you phone in/down how does it not get pushed down too?)

Looks pretty good! How is the charger connected? Why is there a curve in the front? EDIT: oh the curve is 'down' to reveal the button? How much we looking at?
