I did have some hassle as they struggled to verify my credit card, got there in the end. (sent an email from my work address?) Wait - was like 6 days and they were on my doorstep. All up I was fitted for well under $2k It's kind of sad local shops can't come close. I would rather support local business, but the gap is a piss take.

PSS - I was reluctant due to the cost, but all I can say is believe the hype. The ride is so much better, wet grip is great, noise is waaay less and from reviews wear sounds excellent (300). Plus they are best looking tyre IMO. (Love that 'rounded' profile) Factor this in for cost - Shipping ~$300USD, GST is on cost + shipping, $50 customs fee. (+fitting and balancing) (Edit; comparing to RE050A)

Pretty sure my JDM 328i Auto didn't have 4.45 diff. Converted to manual using a '325i' box - real world was like 'Japanese car' ratios. 2nd would top out around 80km. 100km in 5th was just over 3k rpm. Initially I was worried it was too short, but after a while I prefer it. If you did A LOT of open road driving / 100km m.way, I would think twice.

I saw it outside the tyre shop today, black wheels look way better in person. Carbon mirrors go well with them. Under 4k for 2k, ouch... You should just put it on blocks and let it run!

This is so awesome Tom - was speaking to Ray about it and definitely keen for SMG flash... Cheers Nick

Pretty wide range I reckon for what on paper look like similar cars. I would have paid well over $15k for a facelift (factory) manual msport 330i coupe in gunmetal. Never found one.

I had this done yesterday. They scanned my key and told me it was the 'Airbag control module' service bulitin. (Not an actual airbag).

Giggles, NOS... I see what you did there...

Hi, I have a pair of Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 19" - 275/30/19 tyres. IPics to come, sold 'as is', but they should pass WOF. (Wear looks even) Difficult to price... Was thinking $450 ono for the pair These are an 'upsized' option for the OEM e46 M3 19" rears. Selling due to a changed setup. Will post TM link and pics soon.

Sell your two and you're nearly there!

I found the '325i' box and auto diff ratio perfect in my 328i. If you can get the m3/328i box for good money, then why not, but it's not worth the extra IMO. Remember it's quite a common mod for people to pay for a shorter ratio. Depends on your highway use though I guess...

Love or hate the 'shoe... it's the best investment modern BMW going.

How much 'better'/softer is the ride with 18"s?

Coil overs are really going to tie it all together. What specs are the wheels? (square?)
-
If I wanted to get my rear wheel repaired, does any one know what 'easy to find' wheel would fit so I can drive around for a day or 2? To re-phrase; what wheel spec can fit the rear of an e46 m3? Cheers N

(NZ new) So do I just sit back and wait for the letter and hope I don't get a shard facial?Or do I need to be proactive? I have two others in my family which are imports?!?!? Is it a big job? Cheers.
