Easy check to confirm, fully charge, whack it in the car, put a multimeter across it, crank it over, if the voltage drops under 10 its almost certainly buggered, below 8 for sure. -

I really think all the GST palaver being lobbied by the cry baby new Zealand shops collective won't be as effective as they imagine to get people to shop locally. A 15% increase? Things I import are sometimes half the price of local. If the price is within 15% I tend to just buy locally anyway to avoid the delay and simplify returns or warranty issues. Plus I often put things through my business and I get the gst back anyway. If they streamline the process, and drop the $60 broker fee, which often is damn close to the GST being collected I'll give zero f**ks.

Stunning. Maybe the best trade me motors picture set ever

BM Parts has the hengst oil cartridge filters for my E90 for around $12 trade. The ryco are rediculous. $40 or some sh*t.

About $18000 buy now and probably $5000 shipping and it could be yours!

For anyone wondering what that might sound and/or drive like;

I must have uttered the phrase of "god damn" about a dozen times. I missed all the earlier palaver, but personalties aside, I think that many would agree that what HMW has achieved is open the door to supercharging becoming as accessible, and as straight forward, comparibly, to adding a turbo. Even if you have a low opinion HMW, others will see this and make their own homage to it. Because currently, other than HMW, most of what the Internet says are people that aren't doing it any more,and older engines, and 6 cylinder only. Or its like 7k +

I'm bugged by non cert modifications that are 'easily changed for wof' I for one am super enthused by the idea of swapping suspension twice a year.
-
Rear right tyre pretty worn, but rest should have a couple of WOFs in em. $350 ea rims new aparently. Looking for $700 Consider swap plus a little cash my way for Style 194 or similar. I just want a little more rubber between me and the road. https://www.yhiautomotive.co.nz/View-A-Product/NAME/GENEVA-GLOSS-BLACK-IP/COLOUR/GLOSS-BLACK-IP?Id=1195 in

Am keen to put a little more rubber between me and the road on the 320. Prefer swap with the 18's the car came with.

I don't have the patience for the secret menu to see engine temps. I dumped one of these in it. https://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/p/nulon-nulon-pro-strength-extreme-oil-flush---500ml/561575.html If the oil comes out like tar I Will get some random full synthetic and another two filters. Its been really nice to drive, I need to keep reminding myself E90/N46 it's a lemon and I need to move it on Seems bloody economical too.

I think the silver stuff is just light catching, sunny day, I'll have a closer look tomorrow. Old Oil seems to have finished burning off the manifold and exhaust which is nice. First time the vanos opened up under full throttle it dumped a bunch of smoke out the back which made me panic, but that hasn't happened since. Been driving it around to Loosen everything up before the compliance tomorrow. It seems to be running well, there is a slight tick on the drivers side of the engine bay which I hope is just somthing loose and rattling. It gets a little faster as the revs come on and seems to dissappear over 3000ish
