  1. Put GM and Relay Module on the ground.. turn key in ignition, select gear, drive forward over top of GM and RM, select reverse, drive back over the top of GM and RM. Select gear and drive till each of the back wheels is sitting on top of the GM and RM. STOP. Rev engine, Select gear, Drop Clutch. GM and RM diagnosis complete. Not worth the time or effort to repair, plenty lying around just swap them out.
  2. Maybe he over estimated the ability of his 4wd uterus.
  3. Success.... It appears that the GM has had a failure.. Swapped it out and voila. I swapped the relay box out aswell just because I could.

    The Z3

Upgrade to Lovers??? A Bummersport Civil Onion on the way?? You will have to make sure you get matching white framed OTT sunglasses to complete the look in the Z3 and go for the 1.9l I hear they are fabulous darling.
  5. Ah yes forgot that important bit. It is the right sump for you boys its from an E34.
  6. Before I whack it on Tardme I will offer it out to Bimmersporters. Complete M50B25 Non Vanos Engine, 170,000ish K's on the dial. Was running in excellent condition before I removed it from the car. Was intending to use in a conversion but attention has been diverted elsewhere. Engine is there for $700 ono. If you want the full conversion (everything that came from the engine compartment, uncut wiring loom/AFM/ECU etc) I dont have the flywheel/gearbox/starter motor though, m20 flywheel/starter motor bolt on, gearbox with mount/gear shift modification. you can have the lot for $850. Can deliver in Auckland.
  7. Yes the delay is very handy, but not for days, thats a bit extreme maybe they forgot to install the solar charging panels on mine for the extended power delay. any how post back in a few minutes Im going to get down and dirty in the back seat
  8. Thanks for that Jochen, I have the ETK and TIS discs here at home but the ETS disc is up at my workshop. The gremlins on the E34's have usually been experienced by many, I knew it wouldn't take long for the answer to come along. grrrrr now look its 2:30am and I want to go out and pull the GM and swap it out. It also makes it easier for others in the future if they run into the same problem if the gremlins are documented somewhere. I'll post up once I check out the GM.
  9. I noticed it when I went to get into it tonight, I hadnt touched the car for a few days. Before putting the key in the lock to unlock it I saw the glowing orange on the switches, hrmmmmmm they had been on since Thursday afternoon when I last used it, put the key in the ignition Click Click Click, DOH. Grab the jump pack and left her running for a while to put some juice back in the battery. I swapped the battery out of my daily on Wednesday because it wouldn't start I thought the battery was dead. But that battery has been fine in my daily, and the battery from my daily is suddenly flat in this car now. So it must be a drain somewhere, and since these lights appear to be staying on I will point the big pointing stick with the pointy end at the circuit that doesn't turn off after 2 days. So to fix it for tonight I have no central locking and I hope the windows are on a separate circuit, but I have a gut feeling that they will be out of action without those relays also. I'll find out in the morning I suppose.
  10. From my tinkerings it has something to do with the central locking. the relay controlling the central locking system is staying live. So my next attempt will be to get into the modules under the seat and swap them out and see if they fix it. Any idea if the electric memory seats are tied into the same circuit somehow?? or if there should be power to them when there is no key in the ignition?
  11. Anyone know the fix to this gremlin?? I'm assuming it will be a faulty relay somewhere. The interior lights all turn off as per normal but the window switch back light stay on. Not good when the car is not used daily. I'm about to head out and pull all the relays one by one to try and find the culprit. Other option could be a door switch pakaru, but I don't think so as the interior lights turn of with the usual delay. Usually if a door switch is left open the lights automatically turn off after a few minutes, at the moment they turn of within a few seconds of the doors being closed like they should.
  12. The seller is responsible for any outstanding licensing up until the change of ownership. Once the change of ownership is transferred the new owner has no charges owing. The seller will be chased for the registration owing up until the change of ownership has been transferred. This is probably why you see so many de-registered vehicles as the seller doesn't want to pay the outstanding registration because they didn't put the registration on hold.
  13. Oh how things get taken out of context over the intarweb. I think this thread was intended as just a bit of playful banter. Thanks Glenn it was a much needed pit stop on the way home after this week
  14. Why such anal antics over buying parts without a chassis number??
  15. Oooooooooooh the 2nd pic is tasty.. twiddles thumbs.. mmmmmmm gar dang you bravo i want that car now..
  16. Well, after exposing my shaft and having a wee go myself, I couldn't quite get a good enough grip, So I tried a bit of mechanical stimulation, it worked but didn't quite have enough control over the stroking. Uncle Glenn then dived straight in gripping it with one hand at first trying to get the stroke right, couldn't quite manage it with one hand so he grabbed it tightly with both hands, he was wrestling with my shaft and almost had the stroke right, then his hands started getting a bit messy, He then grabbed a rag and gripped my shaft tightly once more and got the stroke just right, I grabbed for my nipple and gave it a quick squeeze and I started pumping. I didn't want to pump too hard in case I made too much of a mess all over the place. I then covered everything back up and Uncle Glenn went and lit his cigarette and we continued talking cars.
  17. pretty dang sore it is, it took a hell of a pounding, even my thighs are burning after that ride but well worth the pain.
  18. It was awfully good of you uncle Glenn for you to manhandle my shaft for me today and the help with lubing it up. I must say it felt really good between my legs this arvo. It smells a bit fishy now though it needs a good clean and polish. Did that un-named female do a good job with the polishing? I might need some polishing of my own done.
  19. We can race our tractors Cain All going well at work I will be there with my e36 on Friday. Buy the car back and rebuild it into another body. How bad is the engine?? I'd happily help you do it. Although they're never the same car again.
  20. So how many of you stocked up your supplies???
