  1. Over this side of the ditch, you have grounds to get your car back from impound if the owner was not aware and could not have reasonably known that the driver was forbidden from driving or words to that effect. It has been a couple of years since I had to use it.. check through the legislation over there probably alot tighter I would imagine. worth a try..

    E30 Bottlecaps

Clearing out my workshop, Someone may want these. 2 tyres are warantable, other 2 will need to be disposed of as you see fit... ideally left as a signature from your car in my driveway... I dont have an e30 to use to dispose of these with. These need to be gone TODAY (Monday 20th July) from my workshop in Manurewa. If not they will be put into a skip and taken to be crushed and mangled and melted and whatever else they do to them when they go to the place where the dead wheels that no one wants anymore go to.. Free to whoever wants to pick them up, a box of beers wouldn't be turned down though if someone was to leave one behind when they picked them up... Flick me a text/call if you want them 0212114727 - Lance
  3. I have had no trouble with the ones I have shipped in. Most places package them in huge oversized boxes with lots of air cushions or foam.
  4. Photo 11 must be the setting for sneaking out of driveways late at night and not wake the parents.. Tip toeing down the driveway. I'm surprised there isn't a fart can sticking out from underneath.
  5. That's what I was thinking watching Fair Go last night, but a comment they made seemed to suggest that the carparks were council property?? I also wonder if the MCC will stand by their word and waive offences if the issues were sorted, (WOF, registration, tyres) within a reasonable time frame. I've had some great battles with various councils over trivial matters and various "offences". I have one particular car park in the Auckland CBD which is supposed to be a loading zone. The first time I parked their I was unaware that it was a loading zone. Came back to my car with a $90 infringement notice. Looked up at the power pole and there was a Loading Zone sign placed much higher than usual, no road markings. Got back to the office not happy after being stung the day before for exceeding the time limit by a few minutes, sent in a letter of complaint about the loading zone sign being so high up on the pole and not noticing it and no road markings. Got a reply saying the offence would not be waived as I had committed an offence. Found the legislation detailing the MINIMUM requirements for Signage and road marking, Sent off another letter requesting it be waived as they had not met the minimum requirements, and got a second reply saying it would not be waived as I had acknowledged I had parked in the loading zone and had comitted the offence. Sent them back a third letter with images detailing minimum requirements and the legislation stating such requirements, and I'll see you in court and I'll continue parking in that space until the minimum requirements had been met. They waived it. That was 6 months ago I continue parking their and do not put any money in the pay and display machine as it only applies to the carparks in front of the sign. I continue to get parking tickets and have come back to a tow truck getting ready to tow me. Tut tut tut put my car back down thank you very much, you are acting beyond your powers. Send off the same generic letter and get it waived. I wonder how many people park there and get tickets and actually pay them.

    Jetskis

most likely it wasn't.. not having anything to compare it to apart from jet boats and a couple of bigger 3 seaters and a standard spx it out runs them with ease.. From the looks of things you are tied in quite seriously with some big boys out there.. so I will say my speed reading is inaccurate and I wasn't doing 127.. I would like to see what my true speed is though.

    Jetskis

Yeah that's what I was thinking.. having watched your clip and seeing the "certified" gps and your upgrades I was a bit dubious about the readings I was getting.. was borrowing a gps.. so most likely user error or highly inaccurate reading??.. Not keen on night riding either.. hence the over night trip..

    Jetskis

Yeah and it likes to break me.. Sea-doo SPX - 800cc, high compression heads, tuned exhaust. 127km/h on the gps. but not sure how accurate it is.. notice on your clip it says certified gps?? your ski looks a lot bigger unit than my mine. I was mucking round on a glassy day and seeing how fast I could throw it through a 360... just over half throttle and ended up barrel rolling with the ski breaking a couple of my ribs as it rolled over me.. lesson learned... lucky escape... helmets are not a dumb idea... Now days it is mainly setup for fishing as I don't fancy going in the water at this time of the year.. Planning on doing a weekend camping trip over to coromandel from Half moon bay next summer with a group of mates. take it easy to get across to coromandel and fill up in coromandel township.. then head up the peninsula to find somewhere to setup base. If your keen on the idea keep in touch..
  9. User error?? Hit it harder... horn relay perhaps? horn button fault?? broken wire??? Horn itself???? I'd start looking in that order swap a matching relay first.. if not that then a multimeter is your best friend.

    Love The Beast

I've had my E34 525i(m20) for 10 years in August.. Although she is now without an engine.. (its sitting in Apex's car, I had a brainwave which was to do a conversion on the old girl. But the conversion ended with removing the engine... its on the to do list). She's sitting on the driveway under her blankets and I can hear her crying every time I reverse out the driveway in the e36. I can't bring myself to do the deed and send her off to the scrap yard.. One day that engine will come along that I can throw in her and take her rego off hold. Even though she wasn't the fastest car in the world, I really miss driving her.. Nothing like driving a lounge suite down the road.. The e36 is so small and you feel every bump and I miss being able to fly over judderbars at 100 miles an hour.. E34's make great paddock cars.. Even the 520's I think they are the most fun... nothing like listening to an m20 about to explode...

    New Airless Tyres

They need to put an outer wall on them, primarily for aesthetics. or a "hub cap" type cover for your new airless tyres that everyone will go ewww at. Maybe good idea for a spare emergency wheel. I dont think I could ever bring myself to put them on any of my cars.
  12. I wonder what happens then if it starts on the 31st January... April only has 30 days...
  13. *runs away squealing with arms flapping* Righty ho girlfrends im off to look for a Z3 and an E36 compact and a matching handbag anyone going to be at Les Mills this arvo?
  14. OH EMM GEEE GURLLLL You dident just go there.. *he-man bitch slaps yo ass* I'm gonna stiletto tap dance on top of your car, after making sweet sweet man-man love in your back seat. And you forgot an 'S' on the end.. its 'tds' bitch.. I think I've just figured out why it makes funny noises when I move that stick thing in the middle to make it go... Nancy's don't know how to work a clutch.
  15. I had this same thought also.. I have bought MANY E34's off nancy boys and even drag queens, and sold a few to a couple of nellys, Always find "interesting" things in the cars when cleaning them out. However the E36 cab is very "gay" but the Z3 has to be on the ultimate wish list for every hairdresser in Ponsonby, hrmm that and Gus wanted one.
  16. I can't believe you still call it a dog, it's like a fluffy baby goat with no horns.. But yeah very impressed with the venue and service.. having worked 7 years in hospitality I tend to be quite pedantic about service.. Very rarely do I find a place I cannot fault.. Wait staff were excellent, polite happy, knew the menu, looked after their guests. I was expecting a "Bar", but it felt like we were in someones dining room with a group of friends having dinner. Very nice atmosphere. The food looked great, the Platter for 2 that Graham and Brooke had looked great. The way it was served added to the homely feeling. The Lamb and Olive pizza I had was more than I was expecting. I only wanted a snack as I had been eating all day so wasn't overly hungry. But it was so tasty, so I ate it all. Big thank you for the complimentary Chicken croquettes for me to nibble on with the slight delay of my order. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family. See you again soon.
  17. All seriousness, I know someone who has a full time job monitoring the emergency channels nationwide. There are multiple repeaters up and down the country which he monitors for most of the main centers. It wont take long for the new system to be decrypted. There are some quite chilling recordings from past events.
  18. I can't do it in mine because I have a diesel. the frequencies from the ignition give the head unit a boost to pick it up. only needs the short boost for the head unit to pick up the higher frequency and register with it. i've never managed it in my Bambina.. its only a 2 cylinder
  19. Yup, tune your head unit into 96.1 and start the engine (do it in this order .. very important) you can get away with not fiddling with the dizzy. depending on if you have a 4 or 6 cylinder... once the engine is running.. If you have a 4 Cylinder engine pull the lead off cylinder 3, if you have a 6 cylinder then pull the lead from cylinder 5. It is important that you DO NOT use any tools that are insulated when you do this or you will blow your head lights. It is best to use your bare hands. Once you have disconnected this lead wait 3 seconds and plug it back in. ENJOY listening to all those criminals being apprehended. NOTE: do not put your hands near anything that could burn or catch in anything that could break your arm off and ultimately kill you or your friend or your neighbour or your cat or the neighbours dog or the mail man/lady. If you have a pacemaker or any heart conditions do not attempt this get someone much younger without heart conditions to perform it for you.

  23. I bought a cf bedford jumbo with a decent reliable diesel engine transplant, and roof racks all for the price of an airfare back to oz for the old owner. Think along the lines of the Beverly hillbillies.. bed wrapped up in a few tarpaulins on the roof along with a dining table and I just had to put a chair up there. Filled the inside to the roof and stuffed as much as I could under the bed inside the van. Had to have somewhere to sleep on the journey. Made an A-frame for the e34, they make good shopping trundlers and loaded it to the eyeballs. boot, backseat, front seats - Alf sellotaped to the steering wheel. And then off I went, there are some biiiiig hills between Chch and Auckland. But we made it. Planned all my traveling for late at night to get a good clear run. I had faith in the old bedford. Had made the return trip 3 times before without hiccup, but never towing a car before. I don't think I would have attempted it if the bedford wasn't a dual axle. Those extra wheels help with braking... If you go this route I'll come for the adventure.... The most expensive part was the ferry crossing for 2 cars but would have had to pay twice nonetheless.
  24. Ooooooh No!!! silly woman drivers.. she killed it.... Lucky she had a spare Style 5 rim on the back right when the guy in the pug shot out the right hand side of his car at 7:05.... I give her credit though she had enough time to change the style 5 rim to a style 20 while the car was mid roll over. maybe she didnt have a jack to change it while on all fours and had to do it while it was upside down in the air. *wishes he had a spare $13,000*
