  1. I am more optimistic about the seond.. now that I know exactly whats involved in the conversions, should be able to do in half the time.. with all of the lessons learned from the first. There could be a couple more roaming round the track days in the near future.. Nothing like screaming round the track with the aircon going to keep you cool I wonder how much power it actually sucks
  2. The conversion price - depends how many bells and whistles you want to add while the engine is making its way into the engine bay.. There are some maintenance things I would recommend doing while the engine is out of the car (I ended up doing them after a couple of months of driving it and thought hrmm that would have been alot easier to do out of the car), If you are serious then I suggest you contact me through PM and we can discuss details further.
  3. Just gauging interest at this stage as I have aquired another donor 750iL and I am contemplating what to do with it.. I understand it is not everyones cup of tea but someone may want a bit of an upgrade on their E34. Having pretty much thoroughly enjoyed driving every km in my E34 V12, I thought someone else may want to have a m70 V12 transplanted into theirs. I have been trying to attend as many track days as I can in mine and all I can say is its a hell of a lot of fun and I cant get out often enough. Its not blindingly quick but it gives alot of late model v8's a good run for their money and can get you away from the riff raff on track days pretty easily with grand dads auto gear box. My gearbox is pretty unstressed as I drive quite carefully on the track as I do NO transbraking with it (I would much rather replace my brake pads than the trans). Can look at a manual conversion which i am currently working on making an adaptor kit for the M70's. Having done the conversion, I know the effort involved and to be honest there is quite a bit of fiddly work. To do the conversion properly.. the entire loom from headlights to tail lights needs to be transferred which involves removal of entire interior including dashboard and possibly heater units aswell depending on year of car. The proposal here is a full conversion using the entire drive line from an E32 750iL (Engine, Transmission, Diff, Front Brakes) into an E34, returned to the owner Fully Certified and with a new WoF. If there is any serious interest flick me a PM. Otherwise I am quite happy to start building another one for myself as a highway cruiser and turn my existing one into a dedicated track mobile.. (Open class rules will be carefully examined as there may be a way in) Here are some links to my youtube clips of some of the track days I've been to so far. -Creavers 540i/6 having a play
  4. hahaha we learnt very quickly that the aircon should not be used... I can't believe those 10yr olds beat Brent and Brendons times.. even though they wiped the front off Mcmuffin.. grr it still had good headlights and a good guard.. ruffians..
  5. There is talk of another day at the track at the end of the month (unsure of exact date or which track).. will confirm with the South Auckland boys. Might see you there??
  6. YESSSSS, another roadblock for the track looking forward to meeting you out there Mark.. the numbers are growing..

Remixed version - aww d*ck ^^^^^ I took a bit longer than 3 minutes... haha Hey Ian I have a vtec badge for your car
  9. I think he was test driving it.. he was staying clear of all traffic on the outsides.. I was wanting to see it wind up..
  10. Fastest on the dial that I saw was 220km/h. My exits out of Castrol may as well have been from a standstill haha.. this grasshopper has much to learn, tried sticking in behind Ian (Red e28) to see his lines, but not being able to get the slushy down into first exiting Castrol was a bummer.. 2nd was too high..
  11. There was alot more when the road cars and track cars were combined.. that was SCARY!! they split us after the first session.
  12. Yup thats the one. Your absence was noted Max.
  13. The latest scream around Pukekohe on Saturday with the 2 Ian's. Quite a bit of traffic. must get out onto the track more often.. I am still not at one with the Dirty Dozen.. Bring on the manual conversion..
  14. PHOTOS! PHOTOS! PHOTOS! So we can all learn what not to do
  15. First time I've been up against Grey Power. Dang they has hardcore mods, she woz lyke straight out of dat Fast Food and the Furious movie.
  16. Overtook a honda civic on the way to work. Nana was doing 70km in the fast lane on the motorway. She had nice doiles on her head rests.
  17. Those 5000km must have been through gravel roads after pouring a few litres of engine oil over the engine first.. I've had 300000km+ engines cleaner than that.. maybe it was a brand new distributor cap put on 5000km ago for $6000 Or maybe they are photo's from before the "new" engine went in.. who knows..he may have done a 2.5 conversion with a brand new engine.. certainly isnt the one in those photos though.. The car in that listing is a 520i aswell.

  19. All in time.. I have a spare engine now so I can put engine and Auto back in, now that I have my bellhousing measurements and a mock engine. I miss driving it.. even if she is auto.
  20. very fuel efficient at the moment, just finalising adaptor plate for bellhousing, Quite a way to go yet really.. have got to get a flywheel made a clutch to suit and driveshaft made..
