Still better than 90% of the other tv offerings...

You could send it to the Wellington chop shops... Oh wait they just went out of business (see Stuff for details).

There's a couple of M325's on trademe at present - a tech 1 for $10k and a tech 2 for $11k. I have one of these also - pretty much exactly the same but with orig wheels and less k's. Mine is insured for $11k. I had thought that the insurance people fixed your car if it was cheaper than paying it out so I don't understand why this car is written off... Or is my understanding of insurance or the value of M325's flawed?

Mmm sub and amp have probably gone but they left the Fusion sub control... Lot nicer than the cr@p wiring I found in mine when I replaced the headunit!

Hey was there ever a build thread on this?
-
Mmm would like the 2.7 engine...

Sign up to nzicemag forum. There's a for sale section there with decent second hand gear going - car audio nuts so good gear in good nick usually. Edit - just seen Rogan recommending the same forum to get you in touch with Hennie :-)

Agreed. Didn't Brent have one for sale recently? Dark green 3.6 with full leather... Anyone know how much it sold for?

Cruise control! Flash :-)
-
I'm sure Ray knows all about it...

Indicator stalk is different and on the wrong side... Is that a SA thing?

Saw you on the main street of Browns bay yesterday - looking good!

That blue paint looks fantastic with the sun on it!
-
No offense but if your headunit has tape as an option bin it
-
Wish mine had air con!

Might have been me - you towing an e30 race car with 'Unique' on the license plate? If so yeah with the weather the old girl hasn't been washed in a couple of weeks...

New subs in the 530i. Next: perhaps new TV/head unit

Ouch! Where did they mount the amp? Also - can you get the spare out? Just wondering -

Good result. Did Rapid do this for you? -

I used to get a turn off thump with my previous amp. Turned out amp was faulty... -
Hey for starters have a look at this thread: e39 I wouldn't have thought replacing rear speakers is going to help you too much - I fade mine out completely. You're better off getting a good set of front component speakers and adding amp\sub if required. My opinions on your other questions. 1. A new headunit might improve sound but I'd start with what you have. You can bypass the factory amp but if you're not confident you'd best get a pro to do it for you. 2. I wouldn't. 3. Where are you?

Nice! What amp are you running those off? If you want to keep the factory headunit but manipulate the output you might want to look at a signal processor... -
I have an e30 coupe. The drivers door works all the door locks but sometimes doesn't unlock the passenger door. As it works sometimes I know the motor in the passenger door functions - but it sticks. If you door motor is not working getting an alarm installed won't fix the problem. Unless they replace the lock motors at extra cost. The transponder key won't help with this either - it usually just signals to a module placed behind the ignition. Once the transponder is recognised the immobiliser is switched off and the car can be started. Probably best off getting someone to look at your locking system first. Car audio - what did you have in mind? The e30 has 5.25 inch speakers in the footwell and these are easily replaced for immediate results. Add a 10 inch sub in the boot (behind the ski pass if you have an arm rest in the centre of the back seat) for bass.
